The Cubs were my team, at the time you can only watch two teams the Chicago Cubs on WGN or the Atlanta Braves. I hated the Atlanta Braves because my brother liked them so I became a Cubs fan, the lovable losers.

I've found that one to be tied up in religion too. I know a lot of Irish Catholic Notre Dame fans in the NY area with no connection to the school. And also since a lot of people around here didn't go to big state schools with football teams. It's not the same as the fandom from the school you attended, but it's a way to follow college football
