The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Well, hallelujah! I have FINALLY caught up!

My flight to Austin was uneventful. When we landed, my nephew was there to drive me to my brother's house. Saturday was a slug/catchup on sleep day. We went for pizza with friends. Yesterday was a long walk in a park. Today was just doodling around.

Puppy girl has done really well for her first trip. She was brilliant on the plane!

I'll try to keep up as I can but may only be able to pop in here and there. The OCD will make me crazy(er)!

Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone! 💖✨💝

I admit - it took a few tries for me to come up with baking homemade potato chips/crisps  I got there, but the first 2 or 3 guesses weren't appetizing. LOL
i know it has that illusion likw feature in it. It got me at first too. Thats why i posted it lol 😂😂

New alliances and partnerships... wonderful!
Let me know when you open... I like a good french fry!
Yup, Let's see if the potato expert can help me in the business. I will inform you all cause i need a super level marketing and branding.

My dad used to crumble cornbread into a glass of milk. I won't eat wet bread so I thought it was disgusting but he loved it!
My dad did the cornbread and milk thing too, as dessert.

When I say say he grew up poor, I mean 6th grade education. His mom died before he was 3. His father used a mule to pull felled trees from the hallows to take to the mill via wagon. On the way home from the mill, they would hunt for dinner. Squirrel and quail with an occasional rabbit. Couldn't afford the time it took to walk to a lake to fish.

My mom scooped him up after he returned from Korea and discovered his girlfriend had dropped him for someone that made it home before he did. He was heartbroken. He had just gotten a letter from her before he started his transport back to the states too.

His dad died shortly after they were married having sold everything to afford the hooch that killed him. Dad never had two pennies to rub together until he didn't anyone to support but his wife and kids.

Smart though. Had to be. He was a success, but that's another story.

I grew up with my Dad putting southern style biscuits into a cup of coffee till they moosh then spooning them up. I always loved that taste.

Didn't drink coffee again until I started driving a truck. I could get free coffee with fill-up points at the truck stops. Now my coffee is mostly caramel flavored with chocolate protein drink as creamer.

Noooooo to, soggy biscuits…. Ginger nuts are the best as they withstand the dunk

Good evening! I just popped in for a min. I'm having to take a college class to renew my certification. It's been a long time since I've taken a college class. 😳

I miss chatting with everyone. Hopefully, this summer I'll have more screen time.

*BIG HUGS!* 🤗
Great to see you Impy but be better to have you join us more in due course

I can't post pics when I'm on my phone but I'm sending you Gigantic hugs!! 🤗 🤗 🤗

So far I'm doing well in my class, but my last paper might have to be resubmitted...I comprehended the instructions wrong and didn't notice until after I sent it 🙄 She usually compliments me on my work. It's nice to read her comments 😁

Make sure you get your certificate and not some damned Self Esteem award.

Just sayin' . . . .
