I understand, but the body adapts to a warm climate. I laughted at my daughter. She lived here for years when I was still living up in PA. She would say how cold it was when she came up to visit. Now I understand. There was a good wind chill.

Besides that it’s brilliantly told and filmed brilliantly!!! Great story of the underground Manchester scene in the 70s and 80s!

It would be great if someone did a version of 90s Brit pop and Shoegaze bands for Manchester as a part two…

It's just a bit after 2300 on a mild but cold PNW night. It's been clear the past few days so our nights are pretty cold, just above freezing. But! No snow for us! And no wind! And, there's a beautiful waxing quarter moon up tonight!

Funny how quickly our bodies acclimate to both warm and cold.

During our deep freeze this winter, it wasn’t all that bad (unless the wind was blowing). Then when it warmed up to above 30, it felt warm.

Home. Today did go more gooder. Gooderer. We have city inspections again tomorrow, so there's that. We'll see how it goes. We're still not checking our work well. In fact, it's still kinda poor. I went around the corner to have supper, and the property guy called to say that a unit had no heat, and that he was sorry he had called and not to worry about it. We have some older folks, and it's going to get chilly tonight, so after supper, I went back by. Girlfriend has a running heater now. Bonehead wire butchers didn't check their work and left the fucking breaker off. That was one of the newer existing units, so it didn't even get changed out. 100% wire butchers.


Wretched motherfuckers.


Anyway . . . .

I’m just glad it was as easy as throwing a breaker to fix it.

But yeah, being around people who don’t give a damn about their work…

Well she wanted Olive Garden. Carb overload but she was happy I made her do it. Brought the dessert home and that's what's having for dinner.

I should have been better by now but I still feel like crud. Had the chills so I turned up the fire in the sunroom. She says it's because I go the basement every morning to work out. Maybe.

Old dude built this Packard engine. Modified 2 Jeep heads to convert it to a SOHC arrangement. Dad dementia'ed out before finishing it, so Junior might be selling it. Wat has butted in line. To Hell with the car he was going to put it in - Wat has a better idea. And the chassis, already on hand.

We don't get ice storms that often. Big winds cause tree falling on the power lines. Our utilities are underground but the ones leading into our neighborhood aren't. I feel very fortunate to have a generator.

My neighbor has one for emergencies..... I am welcome there to charge the phone stay warm and or eat

Thanks, NC! Actually, my housekeeper just happened to find a significant leak under the tub. She decided to fill the tub then activate the jets. When she looked through the (not closed) access panel, she saw big dripping!

I. Was. LIVID! I sent the video to the contractor saying he better be prepared to fix the leak and mitigate any damage the next day.

This fuck needs to have some persuasion to do a good job. Just like Wat, sub contractors, not checking the work. Wtff? (What the fucking fuck?)

This dude is an incompetent prick and you have to take maximum vengeance against him.
