Back in about '85.... one of my musical mentors at that time, considered himself a drummer (later he said guitarist). When I spouted my opinion of electronic drums sucking so bad, I could not even describe something so fucking lame... he pointed out that Phil Collins, a legendary drummer, programmed the electronic drums for his current hits... my response was not, oh, well then electronic drums are great!

No, it was "so Phil Collins is a fucking twatwaffle who would gladly exchange the hundreds or thousands of hours he spent perfecting his skills for a fucking computer? What a fucking...

nevermind the rest of it. Just... I wasn't impressed.... at all...

Well... maybe he did. But back then, I was told by one of my mentors, this was electronic bullshit.

If he actually sat down at the drums and played this? Then Phil has my undying respect. if he programmed a drum machine to play this? Then, he get negative credits from me.

I truly hope, he played it on proper drums, in front of microphones to pick it up.

I can verify he sat at the Drum Kit and played the drums to this song.. I saw him do it live..
