let me clarify this so that i dont seem cold. i dont judge anyone or any culture where this is a normal practice. i myself have just never paid for sex and certainly never paid to have a woman talk to me (other than a therapist). if the goal is connection, i have a strong need to feel wanted. i dont want someone there with me in any circumstance simply because they are being paid. if you dont want to be here, thats fine, im good...is all i meant.

I don’t hink anyone was being cold. There’s no shame in sex work. There is shame in a lot of the social bullshit around sex work but not the work itself.

And connection is hard to find. I don’t have an issue with folks wanting the parasocial relationships that are becoming more and more common. I do have issue with a culture that rewards exploting such a need in what is too often one sided and harmful IMHO.
