Almost every year, a wood spider will build a large nest on my front porch come fall. I leave them there and wish them luck.


Yes, I speak to the spider.

Spiders are good! They eat the bad bugs. I love their webs! Amazing, intricate construction! Here's a picture of spider webs on my boat covered in dew. 🕷 🕸

Good morning early risers. Safe travels to many of you going to job sites or doing conference calls over the pond.

Stay healthy with all this snow. I just pushed, not shovel, 4 inches of powder snow off the back patio for my old dog yesterday and was so tired I took a nap afterwards. I guess I’m not as young as I used to be..

Grandpa taxi is warming up this morning. It’s good to have a job.

They're so easy to do! You can paint regular polish over your gel mani. Just make sure your regular polish is completely dry if you want to put a gel topcoat over.

I use whatever base color I've decided. Then, I pour a tiny bit of the glitter polish onto an old mirror. I use an eyebrow applicator (get them from the dollar store!), dip into the glitter polish, let it absorb most of the clear polish, then you're left with mostly glitter. Start dabbing at your free edge (or cuticle area) then going in towards the center. Continue to dab the glitter on until you're satisfied. Use a light hand. When you're happy with the look, let dry then topcoat! You may need several coats to achieve a smooth effect.

She was in an in between floor…not ICU but one level lower than ICU? Don’t know what it’s called. They moved her this a.m. to a regular room although in the cardiac section as she’s still in AFIB. They’ve got it under control but she hasn’t gone back into rhythm on her on yet.

I’m going to miss our nurses on that floor. One gave her a big hug and said she was her A+ patient…you nurses are wonderful! Luv Y’all!

These units are generally known as PCUs, progressive care units. Patients get a closer watch as nurses typically have a lower ratio of patient to nurse, generally 1:3-4. The unit she's on now may be a telemetry floor. I'm so very glad she got good care! I'd say by and large, we're a good lot! ️

I am the spider catcher. The management will not go in a room where one is present irrespective of size. Not a problem as they are easy to wrangle. It’s just a bugger trying to tie 8 legs together to get them out of the house! They do tend to thrash about a little.

You have to get your horse in just the right position alongside them to capture at least two legs in the rope! 🕷🕷

Sorting the dogs out the contrast from one side of the garden to the other was such a contrast. In the west the sun was about to rise and in the east the waning moon was setting. The moon casting its light to reflect off the water on the Merse
