Pardon me if I'm mistaken, but they're not uploading the images; they're posting LINKS. I have always understood that the prohibition is against actually attaching the IMAGES, meaning the photo file, because then the image "resides" on Lit's servers. Posting links, I have always understood, does not in any way violate this because you're not actually putting that file on Lit's servers. Since these are just links, that should actually line up with the way the TOS is written. If someone has info that contradicts this, I'd love to know. Otherwise, the person posting is in the clear.

Links are not uploads. Even embedded images aren't uploaded to Lit's servers.

Obviously someone has difficulty with English ... LINKS (as posted by EssexMan) are not uploaded direct to the Lit server and so comply with the rules. The images aren't even "attached" because he only posted the link in the body of the post rather than using the "Attach file" button which would add images from his computer and thus upload them to the Lit server.

In the sense of LINKS you are right, any link may be posted and are allowed. So my post was not clear.

But many images are embedded in the post without clicking on a link and the user sees no difference between an image linked to another server (allowed ?) or an attached image on Lit server itself (prohibited if it does not match the TOS).
So this is possible a flaw in the TOS. An image is an image as the user sees it, the meaning is possibly that hard porn images are not allowed.

will make this simple - it is basically about the legality of copyright material. An image downloaded from a commercial website then uploaded to Literotica servers could be deemed illegal. Stealing a photo. A hotlinked photo is basically like you sharing the link of a YouTube video onto Facebook, that displays the thumbnail - or indeed clicking share of a photo from another person's FB page onto yours. That is legal as you have not removed or copied but purely provided a window to where that photo or video file is hosted.

So far the images you bleat constantly about in your post history here are certainly not of explicit sexual activity. Hosting images of explicit sexual activity on Literotica servers could be illegal for wherever Literotica and their servers are based. Hot linked image files, however, are not hosted on Literotica servers.

Since when has the image of a dressed or even undressed person been thought of as " Hard Porn " ? Just asking so i don't make the same mistake again .

OR, it could mean what it actually says, and we just relax & enjoy the beautiful pictures or, and this is a really wild idea, if one of us is bothered by it, we just don't follow this thread.
Wild concept, that one, huh?
