The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Very successful day of making contacts, learning about a new business unit and helping work on some new product ideas.

Then a really late broker dinner, which was just too late for me. I ate too much and just wanted to go home and go to sleep.

Speaking of which, it looks like the weather will cooperate and I will get home before the snowstorm tonight. It will be so much nicer to sleep next to Mrs. Wonderer.

Speaking of which, where has @Mrswonderer been on this thread???

Yeah, I bet the all loosely translate to "White Shit".

All kidding aside, we have a lot of ways to describe the snow we get. Even then it's still white shit.

Few photos for the day. I think this means it's time to shovel the roof.

When the sun went down, the moon was bright enough for a shadow selfie. This is the snow that still needs to come off the roof.

And when we quit for the night, we took a ride to the back of the property. It a few degrees below zero out there now. With maybe 36" of snow pack on the ground.

Did I mention I'm allergic to cold 🥶...
You are amazing. Get the snow off the roof for sure. If you are allergic to 🥶 you need to find a different job further south.

I've seen the green pump handles and know they are for diesel. I've never seen blue pump handles here. 🤔

I've seen the blue for 15% ethanol (2001 and newer vehicles, the stuff that Scotty doesn't like - but Wat does and doesn't like Scotty), so this was a confusing seeing it for no ethanol. Then again, Buc-ee's may have blue for their no-ethanol. I can't remember. The no-ethanol pumps at one store close to home have red handles.

As always, read the labels.

Good morning Wat, Winderer and Hulmule.

A short taxi run this morning as my grandson is going to the doc about an ear infection. I am taking my lovely granddaughter who likes to sing!

In will be home before the snow flies. We are expecting about 4 to 6 inches of Snow ( did he say 6 inches ? 🤣).

Saturday is probably the worst one of snow fall around 8 inches.

I have to shovel the patio as the old dog can only clear about 3 inches. 🤣

This snow tonight was heart attack snow. I went slow and did what I could. I knew when to stop. Although it is difficult to stop. I actually enjoy shoveling snow. Even more digging out the neighbors that are way older than I. That is the hardest part. Knowing when to stop is admitting you are not young anymore. I could have paced myself more. But part of it I could hear the plow coming and wanted it to move as much as I could push in front of it.
Funny how much differently I sweat. I still wear the same stuff to keep my hands and feet dry neck covered. A sweat shirt blue jeans and a frog tog to be dry. I never used to sweat. I was soaked head to toe. I think my hands even sweat in the gloves. I hung out in my underwear until I dried off before taking a shower. Changes. And I’m not old yet.

And they probably used giant hit or miss motors to power it, or water, or maybe even a steam engine. Some of those factory’s were amazing how they could repurpose and reconfigure all the tools and machines.
I was thinking steam but I don't know. I am from New Holland and they manufactured hit or miss engines. I have seen a few running. All of the equipment was gone but the shafts were still up in the ceiling.

Good morning! Work out is done. Sipping coffee and preparing for the day. I'll make a pan of bacon this morning and plan dinner for tonight.

All the home care applicants we been in touch with this week are either sick or taking care of the sick and can't make an interview. I'm stuck.

Moms doc appointment was cancelled yesterday due to the weather. But I did reach out to them the day before to ask them to address the dementia with her.

Thanks a ton for everyone that suggested it. I had no idea it was an option. They knew exactly why I was calling and what to do about. Now we just have to reschedule. Soon I hope.

Hope everyone is staying dry, warm, healthy and happy. 😊

YES! Read the labels.

I've seen green used for E85. I know a someone who filled his diesel truck half full of E85 late at night on a long trip...
And, I've seen people rebuild engines/fuel systems after filling a gas car with with diesel.

On a trip we stopped at a gas station, and watched two teenage girls pull up to a pump with a four wheeler. I spoke up to get their attention, and they looked really annoyed that I had the audacity to speak to them! I then explained that what they were about to pump into their toy was diesel fuel and would most likely ruin their day. They looked embarrassed, but did pull over to an actual gas pump...

And yes, Scotty annoys the shit out of me too!
