Wise words. At first glance you would think that Ayn Rand had a lot in common with George Orwell. Both wrote powerful novels about a dystopian future but Rand came at the subject from a different angle, preferring capitalism to Orwell's socialist leaning.
Here in the UK that dystopian future has arrived with a so-called "elitist" group of ignorant, woke, middle-class fools who have no idea about the genuine role of socialism, or the roots of the Labour Party. They claim to support "working people" but have no idea what that entails. They are following an international agenda and trampling over the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. Anyone expressing a view tinged with common sense is immediately branded "far right" and, as we have already seen, is likely to end up in prison.
I hear you may have similar problems in Australia right now.
