Bondi was the lead attorney general in an unsuccessful lawsuit seeking to overturn the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (known as Obamacare) in Florida et al v. United States Department of Health and Human Services. In the lawsuit the State of Florida and 26 other states argued that the individual mandate provision of the ACA violates the United States Constitution.[14]

In 2016, Bondi gave a speech at the Republican National Convention, during which she led "Lock her up" chants directed at the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.[15]

In 2018, Bondi joined with 19 other Republican-led states in a lawsuit to overturn the ACA's bans on health insurance companies charging people with pre-existing conditions higher premiums or denying them coverage outright.[16]

Bondi opposed same-sex marriage and other LGBTQ rights issues on behalf of the state.[17] Following the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting in June 2016, Bondi was interviewed by CNN reporter Anderson Cooper, who said that Bondi's expression of support for the LGBT community was at odds with her past record.[18][19][17] Cooper said that Bondi was "either mistaken or not telling the truth," while Bondi accused Cooper of fomenting "anger and hate."[18]

In August 2018, while still serving as Florida Attorney General, Bondi co-hosted The Five on Fox News three days in a row while also appearing on Sean Hannity's Fox News show.[20] Fox News claimed that the Florida Commission on Ethics had approved Bondi's appearance on the program; however, spokeswoman for the commission denied that, telling the Tampa Bay Times that no decision was made by the commission and that the commission's general counsel did not make a determination whether or not Bondi's appearance as a host violated the Florida Code of Ethics. The Tampa Bay Times described it as "unprecedented" for a sitting elected official to host a TV show.[20]

At the beginning of January, most Americans thought we were going in the wrong direction as a country. Then, after Trump was inaugurated and started taking action, there was a 19-point shift in an Emerson poll, so that now a majority of the country think we are heading in the right direction. That's a pretty stunning shift. All that strength and optimism is also making it difficult for the Democrats in terms of opposition because the public's opinion of them is also so unfavorable. Now Harry Enten, CNN's senior data nerd, has some more unhappy news for Democrats that's likely to make them cry. He explained how likely it was that the two nominees that were likely most in question — Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services – both now have a very high probability of being confirmed. Gabbard was at 92 percent, and Kennedy was at 82 percent.

Enten said their prospects now seem to be "going through the roof" to be confirmed. Indeed, both of them just were voted out of their Senate committees, albeit on a party-line vote. Given the movement of Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) to support Tulsi, and Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) to support RFK Jr., that much improved their chances of prevailing on the floor. How about the chances for the remaining picks? Enten had that at 99 percent. While that means there's a "chance" one of them could fail, it's a "one in a million chance basically," he concluded. It ain't happening. So Gabbard and Kennedy look likely to be confirmed, and the rest of the field looks "really, really, really likely to be confirmed."

Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was confirmed Tuesday evening by the U.S. Senate to become the nation’s next AG, replacing the fiercely partisan anti-Trump crusader Merrick Garland, who oversaw the radical decline of the nation’s premier law enforcement agency. She won by a vote of 54-46. Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman voted in favor of Bondi. He was the only Democrat to cross the aisle and join all 53 Republicans.

The confirmations of RFK Jr. and Tulsi were 50/50 at best. Now their odds of confirmation are looking much better. The left is demoralized and disorganized.
