The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Trying to catch up after a day on in this Spoon of ours…impossible task!

Spent the last few n the PNW. Cold. Calgary? It was -12 and windy. Nose hairs froze on contact. I’ve only experienced that once before. In Greenland, -32. What’s the coldest you’ve ever been? My hats off to our Canadian and Norwegian friends. How y’all do it I’ll never know. Big Ol’ Jet Airliner got me home safe and sound. Now playtime ensues…or so I thought. An avalanche of HoneyDo’s awaited (some concern a certain High Schooler🙄) so life goes on…

How do we “survive” extreme cold temperatures?

Easy answer, “indoor sports”. 🤭

Coldest I’ve ever been was -15 (without wind chill) in the Colorado Mountains. Hottest was 123 degrees in Baghdad.

Stage 1 hypothermia. Definitely not fun. After that swim in a glacial river, the next purchase was a drysuit for whitewater boating. I figured my life was worth the cost.

If you really mean, what's the coldest temperature that you've ever been in, then I'd have to say somewhere on the order of -50°F to -55°F ambient (not wind chill). It might have been colder here and there, but who remembers all that shit. You learn to dress properly, move deliberately, keep dry, and keep your butt to the wind. Never stand still and always shuffle your feet if you have to be in one spot. Yet, the world is warming up and I haven't worn my polar parka in maybe 10 - 15 years.

They do make “women’s” handguns. Like in pink and stuff. So many of them are made largely out of polymer these days.

In all seriousness. There make many handguns just for that purpose - to be small and lure sized or for concealed carry.

I know which one lilianna will pick......middle left..... looks sparkly
