Are they just conducting sweeps in blue cities (with camera rolling) or are they going to the obvious targets like meat processing plants and migrant farm labor camps that may be in red states?
 
Interesting question. A lot of illegals work in dairy farms and agribuisness in Red states. The governers of those states- yes, many of which are Republican- are already concerned about this.

As I understand it, they're targeting identified criminals first. But never fear, Trump wants them to step it up. And we need to, we have 35-50,000,000 tp get thru.

We need to up it to 35,000 a day, 7 days a week, and that will take more ICE resources than we have. Transferring in 88,000 IRS resources may help.

Trump responded that there would be severe retaliatory moves if Colombia continued with this stance including 25 percent tariffs, visa sanctions, and financial sanctions.
Columbia got the message.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro is offering his presidential plane to help repatriate deportees from the US who were set to arrive in the country Sunday morning, the presidency said. “The measure responds to the government’s commitment to guarantee dignified conditions,” the presidency said in a statement, but did not provide details.

Petro caved and is taking his people back, because he doesn't want any of the consequences that Trump was talking about. Those are some big consequence for not repatriating your own people. Easier just to take the people back. It also sounds like Petro's objection was more a process concern than an outright refusal. That's something that could be ironed out going forward. But the bottom line is, they're going back.

This is what being serious about your actions can get you. Unlike Joe Biden, Trump isn't playing around and he's showing he means what he says. The U.S. has a big presence, and a lot of options to employ when it doesn't get cooperation.
