Hey, everyone! Did I miss the dance party? 💃 🕺

I thought I would drop in to give you all an update and let you know I've MISSED you! I'm hoping I'm on the tail end of whatever-the-fuck-this-is! 😤😖🙄

If you haven't gotten your Flu shot for this season, it's not too late. Also get any Covid boosters you may need. I'm glad I got mine in October. Flu is NOT a benign illness! I think we tend to forget that 10s of thousands die in this country from it; many were previously relatively healthy. Millions die worldwide. There were a couple of days I thought I was going to be one of them. OK. The PSA portion of this post is over!

Thanks to a detailed Reader's Digest version of the thread from W and Likes, I feel like I am sorta-kinda-maybe caught up. There is NO WAY I'm going back 100 pages! Whew! You lot are prolific! 🤣🤣 Many others of you have reached out in DMs, and believe me, it really bouyed my spirits! I tried to give OM, B2, and Miss K more detailed info about how I'm doing.

I've gotten good care from my IRL friends, most of whom are nurses, my family, and my neighbors, and my care team.

I'm going to try to come back and post more often, building up to my full OCD mode. That might take a while. In the meantime, I'll drop in like I am tonight.

Genuinely lovely to see you well enough to join us once again. You have really been missed. Good luck with your continued recovery and I look forward to hearing more from you as you get better.

I dozed off early last night and now my sleep schedule is cattywompus.

Years ago, when I lived downtown, I was near the university and there was a dead-end/college dive bar. Neighborhood drunks and frosh girls-n-boys. Most eclectic crowd ever. There was several of us who used to meet there regularly for food-n-fun. They drank - I didn't. There was this very unhappy sarcastically funny woman named Pamela who hung with us because we didn't hit on her and let her drink in peace. One late summer early evening, she made a comment about all the frosh girls out and about and the stink. We asked, what stink is that?


She answered, "hymen!"
