Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

Another guy that does it old school... so cool!!!

edit: I don't always pay much attention to the lyrics, I'm move moved by the music. But Lenny's lyrics in this? Sooo good! So much truth there!!

Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way

Hi all. Its been a couple of weeks. I had cause to think of different songs with the same title this weekend when this came on the oldies station:

Motorcycle Mama by Sailcat (I believe they were a one-hit wonder)

Motorcycle Mama by Neil Young:

The late, great Nicolette Larson is the woman singer heard on this track.

Blame @BrendaBear for sending me down a Blues rabbit hole. B.B. King was un-freakin'-believable. He breaks a string abut 3 mintes in, does the math and decides he has five more, finishes that part of the song, changes the string while singing and finishes the song with 6 strings again.

Awesome! Never heard it before. Thx!
I would like to see you play this.
Oh - that's Green River from Creedence Clearwater Revival ...

I ask everyone who posts on this thread to place include the name of the artist and song (in text) so we know what it is - especially since not all music is available in all areas.

Sorry.
Saw him in Vegas 10 yrs ago, front row center and was having a green river when he played green river.

Okay... @Hornymwtxn needs to hear some more really killer music.... so turn this up. You can thank me later. 🥰 🥰

I'm pretty sure when they were at Stax records, they were backed up by Booker T and the MGs... Duck Dunn on bass. 🥵🥵🥵

Sam & Dave - I Thank You

And here we have Bob Babbitt laying down that killer bass, with a groove so deep - people have fallen in and never seen again. 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰

Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - The Tears Of A Clown

Amazing!

I have only heard the ZZTopp version before.

While I love the Topp I did see them live and the music was spot on I was disappointed in Frank Beard.

He never looked up from his kit the whole fucking night

Sit back… relax… get a glass of wine, a fire in the fireplace.. turn this up and just take in the majesty of this masterpiece.

And get this… I was turned on to this by a music teacher in grade school in the 70’s…. I wish I could tell her how much she positively influenced my life. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells part one.
