End of year horse shit. I was just given a PowerPoint template to fill out by the COO.

After she explained it and walked me through it, I challenged her as to why we need to do this. “ we will look at this once, and I’m pretty sure it will never see the light of day again..”

She claimed this was different. I’m a good soldier and will spend hours putting this together. Mark my motherfucking words. It will be seen in our January management meeting, and then never be seen or used again.

  1. Your top three priorities for my function.
  2. Top three challenges.
  3. SWOT (strengths. Weaknesses etc)
  4. Suggestions on how we can work effectively as a management team.
  5. Suggestion on how we can improve quarterly governance meetings.
  6. Who else could you be supporting?
  7. Describe how you engage with business stakeholders.
  8. Etc.

We had the same ish yesterday and today...why can't we do this, why are we underperforming for the client etc etc . Replies were basically we cannot because that zone is hot..
Then moved on to fuel expenses... Why is is so much? Because we are buying fuel on the black market as we don't have reserve any more.
Then the final sum up from the boss sitting in Miami...guys guys we need to save money. It will be the same next week and the week after.

Hmmm Temporarily quit-tired the last two years I don't get an office Christmas Party. Fed before that I didn't get one either. Sometimes the company had one but I never felt like I was a member of that country club.
So this year seeing all your festivities and 70 degree temps after all the wind and cold rain, I'm having a NY Strip that I put in the sous vide about 2, collard greens, baked potato and sauteed [hahaha love speel cheeks] mushrooms. I can already tell I want a bagel with cream cheese for desert. After I crunch down a bunch of cutout Christmas cookies.

I'm so sorry, RJ. I totally understand. The holidays are hard for so many. I'm sure the health issues you and Mrs. RJ are dealing with are heavily impacting you. 🫂🫂

I'm hoping DST goes away. Study after study have shown the dangerous and harmful effects on our bodies and minds with the time changes.
