Great day yesterday shooting on a dog training day. My boys left at home and carried a gun instead. It was hard work with six hours walking but relaxed with five guns and five handlers. i shot well for a change and we had 40 pheasant and two woodcock. The weather started as the pics….Wow …..then it was and wet. Great to be out though.

You could get as much as $99 per 2.2 cubic feet (delivered, of course). But, your shipping company will be making a lot more cash that you are. I'm surprised that people will pay that much for a box of firewood but look at all the care that goes into it.

That was a pretty funny vid. It said it was satire but looked really realistic. Then I saw the guy washing the wood and using scissors..

It does take me a while to split the kindling and then bundle it up. Next week I’ll start clipping the little fibers and washing it!

Got a late start today but got down to the farm to split wood for kindling. Someone about cleaned me out the other day. And our firewood production numbers are really ramping up.

It was a really slow fall. But I think we’ll be right back in line with last years numbers. Except all of my costs have gone up: taxes. Insurance, utilities. Sigh. Anyway, I have a few cords to deliver next weekend.

Then my wife and I did a little driving around and maintenance at the property she manages. Found a lovely little neighborhood bar. Not too divey but not upper end either.

Christmas tree up. Cat is curious… it’s his favorite new toy….

Watched football. A prwttt food day. Got 15k steps today and 16k yesterday.

I fell asleep early last night watching Elf (after recording Army/Navy and watching it over dinner.)

Busy day. Delivered firewood, filled up my wood bins. Raked the farm yard with the tractor and got our Christmas tree.

Since the outdoor burn ban has been lifted, we had a nice late afternoon fire before dinner.

Didn’t get to my moms, but I’ll get there today.

Someone bought nearly all of my kindling this week so I am selling it in bulk.

Had an LTR with a good nurse longtime ago. I'd make the occasional comment about exercise or diet, and she'd say, none of it means a thing if you smoke.

I've had good luck with saline spray, too.

Saline spray is excellent! My friend has a sinus infection. I was at her house yesterday and today. She had the spray in her cupboard. I told her to use it and salt water gargle to help with post-nasal drip.

If one doesn't have saline spray, sniffing up a bit of the salt water helps.
