I’m sorry for getting nit picky but the red one is a called a TriPacer. I have one and grew up with it. It was my dads. And actually, the blue one started life as a TriPacer but was converted to tailwheel at some point. I can tell by the back window. All original Pacers had rounded back windows.

Didn't know that about the window shape.
I haven't seen that in the 2-3 Piper books I have.
As you say, many Pacers you see today were originally tricycle...
