The Transitioning......(no, not THAT Transition, the Trump one....)

LOL. Delude yourself on that one, Pol., but don't expect the rest of us to agree.
It's all bullshit. There is no "surging illegal alien invasion." The economy, which Trump left a wreck, has been recovering steadily since Biden took office. Crime is down. And no "financial implosion" is imminent unless Trump does something really stupid to cause it.

As I said ....until he signs the ethics agreement, nothing is happening. There is no transition.

Now that is incorrect. The transition proceeds regardless. The ethics agreement is a bureaucratic paperwork thing and who cares. It was used last time to attempt to derail Trump's team. An ethics agreement has already now been signed, but Trump has, wisely, kept the GSA at arms distance and will be accepting nothing from the GSA - no office space, no IT facilities, no phones, no security, nothing, in an attempt to prevent the spying that went on last go round. Wise move. The Deep State HAS to be kept out of this transition. Personally, I'd even be concerned by the Secret Service if I was Trump - he should have his own security team in place given the obvious attempts to set him up for an assassination by the Biden Administration.

Without the security clearances, the transitional appointees are not briefed on anything requiring security clearances but Trump and his team have obviously decided the risk imposed by allowing FBI security clearances with all the criminality, corruption and attempts to derail Trump and his nominee's that we saw in 2016 are not worth a repeat. Hence, no FBI clearances. That limits the "secret" information that can be briefed on, but given the way Washington leaks like a sieve, that should be no issue. And Trump can authorize the necessary clearances on Jan 20th, as well as ensure the FBI and DoJ are cleaned out. Thoroughly. Actually, it needs to be the Trump transitional team vetting the FBI to start with, to eliminate all the criminals within the organization.

The risk associated with no FBI fake security clearances is well worth the benefit of keeping the FBI out of it before the criminals inside the organization are terminated. If the retire or resign voluntarily, so much the better.

As for the transition, it'll happen on Jan 20th regardless.

Not really. The transition proceeds on a very high level. The actual transition of power is limited to office space and name tags for desks. No information can be passed that you or I don't know. No official diplomatic efforts can be coordinated. No briefings can be held. No background checks can proceed...etc...etc

It's the most important piece and without it, his real job won't begin to take shape.

Or are you suggesting that the President doesn't require the full power of the US government on day one?

Nothing like that happened in 2017.

Pretty much as you said, but the important thing to understand is none of that matters to the new Trump Administration. They'll take the publicly available info, but the big thing here will be lining up their people of the political positions and ensuring that as soon as they go in, they get the clearances and start cleaning house. Trump is appointing some very good people and they are going to go in with their agenda's and go for it and the Deep State can stick their briefing's where the sun don't shine. The former political appointees will be out on their asses, lock, stock and two smokin' barrels - and there are thousands of those positions. The key thing for the transition is that every single one of them goes, and a Trump person is there and ready to fill every single slot, across the board, 100%, and that those appointees know what their mission is and what their goals and objectives are - and that they are held accountable for those.

Cutting the spending by 2-3 trillion is a good start. Closing entire Depts is a good second. Purging the FBI, DOJ and Defense a good third. Firing every DEI resource across the Federal Govt a good fourth. And so on. Shutting down all these neighborhood squabbles and telling the shitfuckingstani's to pull their heads in would be a good bonus. And deporting 30 million illegals....well, there's a plan that doesn't take transitional security clearances.

Nope, no real transition is needed. Trump is appointing people who are going to hit the ground not just running, but sprinting, and Day One will be awesome. The poor Democrat's lawyers are going to be overwhelmed. And after we get moving on the illegals.....well, 35,000 a day would be a good start. We'll need a few extra detention camps but we can build them real quick.

They can't get clearance until they've been properly cleared. Being in office won't change that. Whether you don't like the agencies that exist has no bearing on that.

And absolutely that will be challenged in court if they try and skirt by

Trump Taps Chris Rufo To Help De-Wokify Ivy Leagues Receiving Federal Funding | ZeroHedge

President-elect Donald Trump’s administration is ramping up efforts to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in higher education. In a significant move, key conservative figure Christopher Rufo has been invited to present a proposal to slash federal funding for universities that maintain such programs. Rufo is a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a prominent critic of DEI efforts, he plans to outline how federal funds could be conditioned on the removal of these programs. The proposal aims to eliminate perceived discrimination in university practices, arguing that DEI programs violate the Civil Rights Act by favoring certain racial, ethnic, or gender groups.

“If you don’t stop discriminating and violating the law, you will no longer be qualified for federal funding,” Rufo emphasized. He anticipates that institutions, particularly Ivy League universities that receive billions annually in federal research funding, would quickly comply. Rufo’s presentation is part of a broader cultural and political strategy supported by Trump’s incoming administration. Russ Vought, tasked with spearheading government efficiency efforts, is hosting Rufo at Mar-a-Lago to discuss the proposal. Notably, Vice President-elect JD Vance has voiced strong support, citing the need to dismantle DEI in education and proposing significant taxation on university endowments.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Vance views Rufo as "a leading voice in the movement to restore merit and excellence" to universities, adding that Vance believes Rufo "recognizes schools and universities exist to equip American students to face tomorrow’s challenges, not to indoctrinate them with the fringe beliefs of the far left." This effort mirrors Trump’s earlier actions during his presidency, including banning federal race and gender bias training programs—a measure reversed by President Biden.

Rufo said he is meeting with members of the Trump administration next month. He has said he thinks colleges and universities have been taken over by the left, and he wants to recapture them by cutting federal money to schools that continue to engage in DEI practices. He also wants to excise race-based affirmative action from any institution with which the federal government does business.

Impact on Universities

The proposed restrictions could have profound financial implications for universities reliant on federal grants and student aid. For example, Harvard University received $686 million in federal research funding in the last academic year. Institutions like Harvard, already under scrutiny for race-based admissions policies, have begun scaling back DEI efforts. Critics of these programs, including investor Bill Ackman, have linked them to broader cultural issues, such as antisemitism and the suppression of free speech on campuses. Protests and demonstrations have intensified these debates, particularly following the recent conflict in Gaza. "I hope the president turns the screws on DEI in the Ivy Leagues," Rufo told Bloomberg. "This would put conditions on federal funding, especially the Ivy Leagues, if they practice discrimination regarding DEI."

The security clearance system itself is an expression of presidential authority. Its scope and operation are defined in an executive order (EO 12968), and its terms can be modified by the President at will. And if the President wished to grant access to classified information to a family member, for example, there would be no legal barrier to doing so. See “Trump Will Have Wide Latitude to Let Family Into Government’s Secret Circles” by Mark Landler, New York Times, November 16.

So you're suggesting that beaurocracy will interpret the law that Congress created.

If only there was a recent SCOTUS ruling that.might come into play here ¯\(°_o)/¯

So how long do you think that will take?

Day one is now day...???

Let's clear up this "transition" bull shit. The transition steps are laid out predicated on government money. You do this and you get this money, you do this and you get this office space, etc.

If the candidate elect does not want the money or the office space or any of the other 'carrots' the conditions attached they can tell all those other jerks to "go fuck yourself." And that is precisely what Trump is doing. He's telling the swamp that, "I don't need your ass and I'm not playing your game."

Until he gets clearance for his staff, he will know exactly what you and I know and nothing more.

That is not encouraging. We all know by now that his family are idiots, even Ivanka and Jared.

You still can't get it through your head that the tail doesn't wag the dog. And he will have access to any damn thing he wants and so will his staff.

Yep. I mean, the Biden Administration gave actual Iranian spies clearances. Trump will be giving them to people the Democrats don't like and are scared of. And firing all the Iranian spies and the people that enabled them.

We all know the difference.

And there are IMPORTANT security clearances to revoke. Like all those "Intelligence" criminals that signed off on Hunters Laptop being a fake story, and the Steele Dossier, and Jan 6th, and all the other Democrat criminality.

After the truth became clear, everyone in a position to do so that did NOT revoke their clearances needs to be terminated. On Day One.

Tiffany seems to have been smart enough to almost entirely stay away like "Nope, I'm . . Tiffany Von Trump, emissary from Latveria and like Dr. Doom I have diplomatic immunity. No more questions.

You still can't get it through your head that until he actually takes office, he plays by the rules of this administration.

So no clearance.

He never did that before and he shows no signs of starting now.
Our definition of good people differs somewhat.

2016, I agree. IMHO Trump was as surprised as anyone that he won. Personally, I think he went into it as half a joke and was as surprised as anyone when he won, ne he just wasn't prepared. The GOP let him down with all the RINO appointments.

This time, he knows. He's prepared. We're seeing REALLY good people, like Pam Bondi and Pete Hegseth. Not to mention JD, Elon and Vivek, RFK, Tulsi and the others. These are all people who know how to get things done. As in, "not done yet? You're fired. Next....." These are NOT 9-5 people.

Like Ivanka, she's a nice person and not really cut out for politics.

But the next generation - you can see Kai getting into it with her speeches and podcast, and who knows what Barron will do. He's a pretty smart young guy.
