The U.S. national debt climbed above $34 trillion for the first time at the start of 2024 and currently sits at nearly $34.6 trillion, according to the Treasury Department. The national debt has increased by around $6.8 trillion since President Joe Biden first took office in January 2021.

The increase in the US National debt is entirely and fairly precisely due to the unfunded Tax reduction that Trump gave to wealthy people. Had that gift to the wealthy not been made there would have have been no significant increase whatsoever. If you use a rag like the one you quoted it's no wonder you get things so wrong.

None of that tax reduction has 'trickled down' into increased economic activity or spending, once again illustrating the economic claptrap promulgated by dimwit right wingers since the Reagan era.
