Love poems

You're the joy of my being,
the fireworks in my sky,
my umbrella on a rainy day,
the reason for getting out of bed,
even more reason for getting
into entangled sheets, until
I sleep upon your shoulder
to wake to the face
that takes my breath away
with the depth of my love.
Right beside you is where
I belong, take my hand
........it holds my heart.

Chanson pour un après-midi tranquille

I want to kiss your body, low
between your legs, and nuzzle there
like you're all sweetness—un gâteau
that I shall eat with kisses, low
along your legs, so long and slow
I'll leave you gasping for more air.
I want to kiss your body. Low
between your legs. I'll nuzzle there.

Not every love is a happy love.

Green eyes and black hair,
you did delight me and I wanted you.
I wanted you in my arms all day
and under my arm all night
with that last ember of blind boyish love.
The ember which turns to coal and hardens the man.
We danced every night and I loved to dance with you,
spins and twirls and kicks and slides,
until that night you weren't drunk enough
and just sober enough to see us
and my happy awkward unconcerned
out of time rock and step embarrassed you.
You did delight me and I wanted you,
but I heard a voice that said,
She'll never do.

We've met across the ocean,
and quite frankly know,
we can never, ever be.
This the hardest to accept
with many bitter tears,
although he infuriatingly
accepted long before I did,
but the love is no less real.

"I can give you the smile
and the laugh and tell you I love you,
but we have to live
with the reality of life.
Let the fantasy be what you need
and it will be enough."

Who else could be sensible
and loving, with words poetic?!

I drink you in, my senses feeding
on every feature,
lost in the love of your face,
learning how beautiful a man can be.
Oh yes I'm biased, but I knew
before I loved you,
how very special you are.
You sing to me "Falling in love again,
I can't help it." and I am replete.

If the world should end tomorrow
and my life on earth is through,
there wouldn't be a heaven
because that's on earth with you.
I have never known another
who could so enslave my heart
or make it sing and soar with joy,
you're my missing other part.

Yes I accept your love, but do I accept
the distance between us?
I don't because really you are here.
I close my eyes and your face
is there before me, with that special smile
that is mine alone. The spark ignited
all those months ago, burns stronger.
A bit of your laughter, that smile, too,
are here inside my heart, I keep them close,
holding tight, you're my love and light.
I didn't know that hearts could fly but
mine does to you every day.
You care for me, lead me like no other
and I'm happy to be led, there's freedom
in belonging, because yes, I'm yours.

Life Sucks without you, Everyday is filled with pain

I would do anything to be with you again

My heart is broken, It'll never be the same

I close my eyes , I can see you there

My sexy woman, beyond compare

Tears on my face , A life we can no longer share

An emptiness inside that I'll never fill

They tell me it gets better in time

I don't think it will.

B minor - revised with music to listen to while reading

If only my words were music
fingers dancing over the keyboard,
playing a reflective, solo piano.
Scarlatti's B minor Sonata, perhaps?

My fingers fastening
your ivory corset
in time to the music
caressing your back,
shoulders, then round
to cup your breasts
before descending past
your navel to lightly tickle
your mons.

Sigh, but only a
short movement
in minor key.

A light kiss on the
back of the neck
and you're gone.

Whatever happens with us, your body
will haunt mine, your touch on me firm,
protective, searching me out,
your strong tongue and tender fingers
reaching where I had been waiting years for you.
But as your body moves under my hands
charged and waiting, my body writes
into your flesh the poem you make of me
and takes you made,
into me.

I'd climb every cliched mountain
and cross each ancient sea,
for the chance to have you hold me close,
whispering your love for me,
but my tears fill my own oceans
from the breaking of my heart
for loving someone so far away
and forced always to stay apart.
This joy of loving you so deeply
still makes me gasp with my desire,
from so much beauty in a man.
My Lord, YOU ARE the fire.

That ring on my finger doesn't belong to you,
I'm your borrowed angel, your English rose,
far out there in the darkness, loving you.
When we talk ofttimes it's just a fantasy
of how it's going to be, when you hold me close
and consummate in ways only love should be
and I know in my heart, it can never happen,
that's when the tear drops fall, dried only
by the knowledge that the whispered love is real.

Loving you and trusting you the way I do
makes me vulnerable, but oh so worth it.
The joy, the JOY! I've never known before,
never even knew it existed to feel like this!
I've travelled through life, sure I knew it all,
then you... my darling you, lit up my whole life,
like fireworks in an Autumn sky, exploding
through my head, making me laugh out loud
from the pure, sheer exuberance of your love!

Your eyes drew me into your soul.
You next to me, made me feel whole.
Not that I wasn't whole before.
But your spirit touched me, deep to the core.
Your hands, so calm and healing.
Such a warm and blessed feeling.
All around you an aura so bold
Festooned with rainbows and sprinkles of gold.
I knew from that moment that you were mine.
Your heart so pure, your being divine.
I am the teacher, you learn from me.
You are my mentor, we are one you see.
Two old souls, roaming this earth
Filling the world with love and mirth.
So happy am I that we are together.
Engulfed in learning, two birds of a feather.
Spreading our light to all that we see.
Embracing the universe with our glee!

Beautiful.:heart::heart:

Hold your hand gently but firmly round my heart.
I leave it in your keeping, trusting your care
as I do the same with my body, Surrendering
to your caress, you understand my needs,
leading, teaching yet giving by your experience,
flavoured by love, to satiate our desires.

I thank the muses, the gods that put poetry
into my fingertips to tell you how I feel
when I love you isn't enough.
In this world and the next and ever after
it will always be you. My Master, my Lord.
Submission at your feet, as equal by your side,
tucked warm against your shoulder,
all my places but most of all, the only place
that matters, will ever matter.
Safely in your heart.

If I should drown in tears of longing
heartbroken from what can never be,
sing for me, your song makes heaven sublime.
Sing of Winter when you came into my heart
after knowing you so long. Sing of Springtime
of awakening flowers and our love.
Will my tears wash me away at the end
of Summer, like the leaves that soon
emblazon the trees, but like I crumple
and fall, unable to live without your touch.
You say "Let it be enough" but it never, ever
will be for me. Daily as now,..... I cry.

Somewhere in that far off world time zone,
where the land of the big river reaches the sea
he waits, sending his love to surround me
because distance cannot diminish feelings
so strong they light a path over the waves,
burning strong between his heart and mine.

Mo Ghille Mear (My Gallant Hero)

If there are ever times I pass your mind
and you're missing me, stop and listen.
I'm there in your quiet times, sunshine
through the rain whispering on leaves.
Clouds skipping across the sky
on a rising breeze, whipped to a frenzy.
The excitement of a growing storm
with crash of thunder and splendour
of lightning cleaving the sky,
only to calm again as you cherish me
in your arms. I'm there in the secret
smiles we shared in stolen moments
and always, always waiting in your heart.

.
I love your eyes where the love light lives,
sometimes soft, more often lit with passion.
That look is all it takes to bring me desirous,
lost and trembling in the tempest of your love.
Lie skin to skin with me, and together we'll
sing our song, until all insecurities gone,
I discover the tune, the music of your heart.

Pressed play on the past
your long lost voice
distorting time

I'm here
and I'm there

Feeling something I can't name
idly musing if there's a word
in another language
which can't be translated to my own
that could explain

Familiar tones echo
through hollows that welcome them home
forgetting, just a fleeting moment,
the silence still left behind
