Electric cars.

Most people can't afford multiple cars. Just one car is becoming too expensive with fragile parts, insurance, and seven year loans. So that one car must do everything: short trips, long trips, and hauling groceries, furniture, etc. Long trips in an EV can be done, but charging locations will limit the route options. Many destinations are you can't get there from here.
I have five, my kids all have two (or more), sucks you live in poor area, you must be in a Red state.

If you had stayed in school and didn't spend your days online, perhaps you could afford another vehicle.

Didn't they set record sales on the backs of the gasoline-aversive?

The loudest voices didn't put any money behind their convictions?

Go figure! The clamoring of those without, usually by choices made.

The government won't tell you, that to replace the batteries in an ElectricCar could cost upwards of $25,000.00.
When I bought my first hybrid Toyota, I was told the battery would have to be replaced in four years at astronomical cost. I'm on my third hybrid Toyota, replacing each after eight years, and never have had to change any batteries.

That said, I don't see an electric car in my future--and certainly not until recharging stations are more plentiful and ranges are extended.

I live in Detroit area. Motor city
There are thousands of parked ev’s that nobody wants.
I do not hardly see any charging stations either..
I often wondered why gas stations are not jumping to put charging station in..
I rarely see any ev’s on the roads around here either.
Far as I’m concerned gas power is the best

Our chain grocery store put charging stations out on the edge of their parking lot.

I've never seen anyone charging there. Maybe in the dead of night? Embarrassment???

It is a common phenomenon, purchasing an EV often happens once a guys wife or GF suggests that they should both date other men

What more do you want for range???
EVS can go as far as most cars on a tank of gas
At the same time we ain’t have the sorts of cars that Europe and the rest of the world has. 50 mpg!!
30 miles for a “normal” commuting car or 60 miles is all most folks need.

Here is the spec

1 ton in the bed, 2 tons on a trailer, 70mph average speed, 500 mile range, refueled and back on the road in 20 minutes or less.

How many others need it is irrelevant. That's my spec and for my money it's the only one that matters

What I want to see is "trying to feed the world without burning lots of oil"

Not a pretty sight

More than I've seen. I haven't looked into it as I have no intention of every buying an electric car. At my time in life, I probably won't buy another car at all.

No matter what range, I need to know I have a place to "gas" it up at what end I get to. I don't feel that assurance now.

I don't care what other people get. If I was going to look further into it I'd ask how the electricity was made that goes into these cars in considering the effect on the environment and dwindling resources.

Gas up? There’s no gas at work or home. There are electric plugs. I just use 110
