I have another direction you can go with this idea. Aging actress, once a media darling but now she's yesterday's news. Now that she's out of the spotlight, all the hangers-on and people who fed her ego leave with it. Now she is only getting offers for bit parts as the nagging mother or bisy body aunt. Until she gets an offer personally from a hotshot new director. The only catch is that the part requires some pretty extreme things. Things that 10 years previous, would have been unthinkable. Now she has to wrestle with doing things that might destroy what's left of her career and legacy or launch he back into the spotlight once again.

Possibly Harrison Ford too. I haven't seen that latest Indiana Jones thing but the reviews were generally negative. Sometimes I think his best movie was the original Blade Runner, released right among his Star Wars and Indiana Jones ventures. He didn't have to carry it all by himself. Rutger Hauer, among others, was outstanding in that.

I assume you mean sexually extreme things? I'm all for senior sexuality if that is what they want. Unfortunately, our culture usually doesn't depict it much except as a sub-set like "granny porn." Some of it makes it into literature, like in Rabbit At Rest, but Harry is only 56 in that, which seems fairly young to me now!

That's one of the great things about a site like this. You don't have to cater to anyone. Sure you'll get people complaining but it doesn't stop you from putting your story out there.

I was going to suggest something similar, only, it all starts with her own doing. Like, she gets a screenwriter to write for her, and then pitch it with a director trough her back channels. She uses her charms on both guys to get things moving where money won't go (either money alone, for the egos involved, or she's necessarily stingy, or all of the above). While both men fall for her, and subtly compete, the whole project turns more and more pornographic.

But again ... why not flip it?

She knows she's past her prime and isn't going to get the top roles any more. But maybe she goes into casting or some other production role. And she uses what she learned on her way up to 'test' other aspirants, wink, wink, nudge, nudge. She gets the younger stuff and attention she's after and stays relevant to the business in a different role.

She's both terrified and greatly aroused by the idea. She considers her "legacy" but also knows that this could be a pivotal moment in cinema history.

She meets with the studio heads about it and they are totally on board. She finds out who's to play her young love interest and she seeks him out. They go out for drinks and have a deep discussion.

He looks at her. "Ms. Howard, I was very happy when they told me they wanted you for this film."

She looks at the handsome young man, with an amused expression. "Really, why?"

He looks at her sheepishly. "Well, I've always had a big crush on you. I've seen all your films."

She laughs dismissively. "Maybe the twenty-five-year-old, Julie Howard."

His face gets serious and their eyes meet. "No," he says, laying his hand over hers. "You. Right here. Now."

Emboldened by her gasp and surprised expression he leans over and kisses her softly. "You are going to set the screen on fire," he whispers.

Fuck, folks. That's really a great idea. It changes my original idea in a way, that I really like.

Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of like a hardcore Mrs. Robinson ala The Graduate. Only she's the star, and it's just shy of pornography. Now you have this aging starlet being reborn as a mature 60's sex symbol (Again fiction, and able to play with the timeline).
