Limestone County officials say they arrested a man who confessed to impersonating a law enforcement official in no fewer than four Tennessee Valley counties, after first applying to become a bona fide officer.
18-year-old Logan Martin of Harvest was arrested Friday and charged with impersonating a peace officer. Captain Tammy Waddell said Martin was on their radar after receiving a tip that he had stolen the blue light apparatus from a Madison County Career Tech law enforcement vehicle and was using the lights to make traffic stops.
okay, admittedly the picture shows someone who could be mistaken for a bit of a psychocreep, but this reads more like an idiot desperate to be a cop. Not that they shouldn't be charged for their crimes but i'm guessing there's a backstory to all this. Perhaps he always wanted to be a crime-fighting hero because of being bullied (or ignored) as a kid. oh well, it was pretty dumb.
ok, lol, psycho creep it is:
A search warrant was executed on Martin's car, where officers uncovered property belonging to various law enforcement agencies, including Huntsville Police, Madison County Sheriff's Office, and the Alabama Department of Law Enforcement (ALEA).
Some of the equipment included dash cameras, emergency lights, and a police radio. A photo provided by the department also showed a large kitchen knife, a flip-style knife, handcuffs, two stuffed toys, and an array of condoms.
