Former President Trump plans to skip next week’s first Republican presidential primary debate and instead sit for an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, according to a new report.

Trump has made the decision to skip the debate and is currently planning to sit for an interview with Carlson, The New York Times reported, noting the former president has spent the last several days soliciting feedback from aides and allies on whether to participate in the debate.

The campaign process is far too long. Skipping all debates until January would be reasonable.

Trump planned to have a press conference Monday. He also planned to build a wall, eliminate Obamacare and drain the swamp.

The Donald and Tucker show will be taped and posted, probably to X and Truth Social, after being edited by their lawyers. So A, it won’t be up against the debate at all, and B, it’s going to be short and dull.

One will be watched by a small proportion of the nation.

The other will be laughed at by the world.

From his interview with tucker:

“People in that crowd said it was the most beautiful day they ever experienced. There was love and unity. I have never seen such spirit and such passion and such love. And I’ve also never seen, simultaneously and from the same people, such hatred at what they’ve done to our country.”

The Trump interview on Twitter has 93 million views. How big was the Fox audience during the debate last night?

They do if you understand the fractions. The views are now above 230 million. Those who actually watched are about a 9% cut.
That's a random speculation of a number. They don't have any view count.
