Republican Mayra Flores’s special election victory Tuesday is the latest of the mounting evidence that Hispanic voters are inching away from the Democrat Party.

Flores defeated Democrat Dan Sanchez by eight points in the heavily Hispanic 34th District, becoming the first Mexican-born woman in Congress and the first Republican to represent the Rio Grande Valley in roughly 150 years.

Now she, along with two other Republicans, Cassy Garcia and Monica De La Cruz, have found themselves at the forefront of an undeniable national trend as they work to redden the three districts covering Texas’s southern-most point.

“The red wave is here,” Garcia told Breitbart News on Friday. “Now more than ever Hispanics feel a genuine sense of belonging with the GOP. We know Hispanics are conservative on education, on social issues. We’re pro-life and pro-gun. We want lower taxes, religious freedom, and school choice."

The truth is much of the legal Hispanic community are practicing Catholics. They don't buy into much of the far-left agenda like abortion, open borders, Socialism, and high taxes on hard work. They work hard and expect, like most people, to be rewarded for doing so. Along the border they are victims and they know it. They want that border controlled. What we just saw in Texas is going to replicate itself in many other places.

Well most of them like most Americans like "socialism" as long as you remember to use different language. So few of them make enough money to bitch about taxes that its absurd that they would care about that, but such is the indoctrination of Americans.

There are no open borders. That is not a liberal stance.

If what is happening in Texas keeps going expect for crime to rise as a direct result.

However the legal Hispanic Community came out for George Bush in 2000, this "they're leaving" mantra has been going on for my entire adult life and it never seems to actually happen. Its just gonna take the next person who tries to pass an "its illegal to be Mexican" law and they'll come back.

Where did Catholicism mention anything about borders?

Asking RightGerd about Hispanics seems to be the equivalent as asking Touvie about the blacks.

I read the data and so I know all about those people.

Also, I worked with a Spic once...¯\(°_o)/¯

I think he's mostly talking about abortion, sex ed and the related culture wars when it comes to that.

Yeah but a lot of us aren't concise with our language. I kinda want to spend a weekend in Texas just interviewing people. Start my own podcast as the greatest person EVAH!!!!! And shamelessly plug shit. Then become president of the United states of America. . .or at least get to take a photo with the Rock. That'll be fine.

Are you saying RG doesn't accurately describe the demographic? Say it isn't so

Here there is no concept of reality.

You mean you don't have a coherent argument and know that almost every positive thing that came during the Trump era was either not his at all or circumstansial. Why hasn't Biden shut down the fucking space force? Replace it with something useful like a dedicated Cyber Security unit.
