usually conversational English to university students in Vietnam.

plus, it’s not just Vietnam and Thailand i visit. i’m probably doing what people such as yourself are afraid to do. that is get out there and see the world.

i identify more as english than british.

and it was mainly australians in vietnam, not so many british - although Nha Trang was predominantly russian. proximity to the airport (american-built during the american war, as they call it in vietnam. direct flights to and rom russia. the viets prefer them to chinese. the soviets helped out a lot during the aforementioned war, so...

thailand is gernam and french, with a sprinkling of brits.

laos is very french.

cambodge has an eclectic mix.

malaysia, well, that's a little more complicated.

then there's central america...

I first became aware of how pervasive the phenomenon is, about 15?? years ago.

This girl asked me to accompany her to a Filipino festival that she'd been invited to. She was of East Asian descent, but raised in Russia.

We get there, and we see all these Filipino and Indian families (I don't like Indian culture but I Like Filipino people, they're open and warm).

But also quite a few old White Anglo unaccompanied men over 65.
They were all eying the unaccompanied young Filipino girls in their early 20's, and some of the girls were actually flirting with them.
I wasn't even aware of it, nobody was looking at me, but my friend couldn't wait to get out of there.


I also know a 60+ taxi driver who barely earns to keep himself, yet his main perk is to save enough to go to certain East Asian countries.

I'm actually subscribed to these guys' channels -- sepentza and laowhy86-- who lived in China and taught English for 15 years. They are THE BEST insider look to East Asian (minus Japan) countries.
That's where I get my preconceived ideas from (that most Anglos who live in East Asian countries either teach English, or are into sex tourism, or both.)

and they claim that there are generally two types of White males who live in Eastern Asian countries: English tutors and sexpats.
According to public's perception, older Brits. and older Australians are over-represented in the latter category.

But I don't think that British and Australian men are worse than other men, when you peal off the layers you see all sorts of ugly underbellies in ALL ethnic communities.
Incest and child abuse in Maori and Aboriginal ones, Afgan Muslims - well, just listen to the horror stories by Americans stationed there, how they were warned "don't accept invitation to their male parties". Eastern Europeans don't do statistics and hide these things internationally, so I imagine that they carry their own demons.
