Yeah, to other stories or to your author page - just have a look at some of my recent chapters. I guess you need to approach it in the context of explaining who person X is, etc.

If an author feels it is necessary to tell me about either themselves or their story before I have a chance to start reading, I probably won’t bother reading. The exception might be if the preamble was: ‘Here’s a story I wrote for my postman.’ Or: ‘Here’s a story I wrote for my favourite aunt.’ Other than that, just tell the story.

I once wrote a short story containing only the Introduction. The story itself was rather short: End.
