The United States is not the greatest producer of greenhouse gasses and neither is the EU and we are fighting diligently to combat it even at the cost of economy, standard of living and health (as in being willing to freeze people to death in winter if the alternative is too dirty) where we live, work and play.

However, the #1 producer of greenhouse gasses is a nation ruled by deniers.

If Anthropomorphic Climate Change is THE existential threat to life on earth, why are we killing us and not going to war with them in order to save ourselves? We need to mobilize, we only have ten years left before we become Venus, so first, let us be Mars, Gods of War. Let us launch the first Holy Environmental Crusade.

There is a point buried there and its mask is hypocrisy. With top-down admonition we are assured that we are in mortal danger of disaster and calamity if we do not change our lives now. But those braying the loudest and with the power to make the rules seem completely unconcerned as to the danger as they fly off to exotic locals in private jets enjoying the best that life has to offer in food and accommodations in order to pontificate, prognosticate and plan for our future, a future where clearly they surrender nothing and we surrender everything, including our Liberty. I think that we are being played and manipulated by the tactic of the big scare in order to create a new world oligarchy and enable the emergence of a new aristocracy to head an all-invasive state which will self-perpetuate itself by virtue of its children attending an increasingly elite and insular set of feeder universities, one for the rulers and one for their bureaucracy. Our biggest threat is not so much man-made climate change in the physical sense, but a different man-made climate of control where our ignorance, as our education, is focused on everything except the fundamental building blocks of true knowledge. (Thus we get to such ludicrous emerging intellectual concepts such as mathematics being Racist.)

Climate change is a concern of almost anyone who reads news, but Dems tend to go over the top with the world is doomed if we don't immediately do something extreme to stop climate change. In reaction to that, Repubs do the opposite. The climate is fine, no worries, STFU. So they both miss the practical options of how we can adapt to what the climate is becoming.
