Bummer. I hadn't even considered this angle, to be honest. I certainly don't want to offend anyone, either.Cirrus said:A caveat, though...a lot of people, including the person who may tattoo you, look down on those who aren't Asian that get Asian tats done. It's become kind of trend among the cheerleader/pierced navel crowd. Not saying you should not get it done if it's what you really want...it is your body after all, and if it has meaning to you, then by all means get it and screw what everyone else thinks, but there is sort of a "stigma" associated with them.

I don't know whether to be sheepishly flattered or anxiously horrified at this.CarolineOh said:I think he ought to get a tat that reads "cym said" because every time we talk about bdsm, I hear that over and over "cym said", "cym said"....![]()

The idea was to have one small(ish) pictograph kinda thing that would represent "sexual submission". I'm far less enamoured of the idea of spelling it out, you know, whether that be in English or Bengali or Hebrew.seXieleXie said:if you wanted to avoid using a chinese character set you could think about hebrew or arabic. or you could use a southeast asian script, which are quite distinct from chinese/japanese symbols.
