I won the bid on an interrogation scene Saturday night. I haven't scheduled it yet, but I'm thrilled, as I've been wanting to meet this expert for a long time.

I've never seen or been in an interrogation scene. Anyone here have any advice or warnings for me?

One question I would have would be what period - ie spanish inqusition, elizabethan torture of a spy, Nazi interrogation, modern spy catcher style or futuristic?

I get to choose! She's an expert on Nazi stuff (Nazism? Fascism?)I'll find out more. What should I choose? Cops and criminal? Nazi's and spy? What would you choose?

I'm really curious about this. Is it going to be a totally roleplaying thing, or is she going to interrogate you about something you really did? Sexual secrets or something like that?
 
Caroline, I just don't know what it's going to be about. I'll email her tonight and we'll go from there. It will be interesting to see what kind of info. she will try to get from me. I've been looking for interrogation info. on the Net for months, and there's not a lot of useful information.

My advice would be to emphasize what I suspect you already know- that a scene like that rquires a great effort at advance communication to succeed. You must honestly address any problem areas you have, where certain topics might trigger non-erotic trauma, like childhood abuse, sexual identity issues, etc.
A friend of mine was doing an interrogation scene once, and the interogator asked her if she had any daughters, She said yes, and he said "Do you want her to grow up to be a whore like you?" That was the end of that scene as you might imagine.
Know what your hot buttons are before you stat, and make sure your interrogator knows them too.
 
Wise words James;
wilful if it was me I would go for the Nazi style interogation and make it a spy role for you - that way you avoid the potential for painful memories (see James' post) you can both wear uniforms and hey - dominant women in Nazi uniform is a particular fetish of mine ;)

Petrel, you're right about the Nazi theme being something really different. I was assaulted one time, and though I think I'm well-adjusted in spite of it, there are a few things that I think I will mention before we play.
