A friend and I were talking tonight about men and anal sex. I tried to explain that having anal sex is not always about subitting or being bi and that some men enjoy getting fucked in the ass.

My friend, the Domly type, felt that a strong dom would not let anyone fuck their ass and I said they would.

So I am just looking for some feedback from the Domly types around here. Does having anal sex diminish your ability to dominate? Do you enjoy ass fucking?
 
OK, I'll bite. I consider myself a domly type. Anything anal that isn't painful, I see as sensual and pleasureable. But, when pain is involved, I am turned off.

I see myself giving pain, not receiving it. It might be all in my head, but the pain is in my ass. I don't like that.

And, I very much enjoy taking women in the ass. I see that as they're submitting to me. Also probably in my mind, but I don't see myself submitting.

No I don't think you are anal phobic. I think there are men who think and feel as you do, as well as those who enjoy being fucked in the ass and don't see this as diminishng their dominant nature.

Pain is another thing. If anal sex were all that painful I would not enjoy it as much as I do.

Does sticking your finger in your nose make you less domly? How about your ear? How about sticking your finger in your mouth?

I can't see where sticking a finger or any other object in your ass would make you less Dominant(<--points look I used it correctly this time :) ).

I think it is just preference really. I don't like any anal play on myself that involves toys(tried it don't like it). However I am open to a one or two finger milking, but have never done that, just sounds like something I might try sometime.

I have known Dominants who felt certain acts where "top" acts and others were "bottom" acts.

I have never understood this. If the Dom is in control and desires a raw arse fucking, He or She is still the Dominant.

I would think that anything you wanted to do or have done keeps it a dominant thing. If you were not doing it by choice then it would not be. Personally I am a giver not a reciever , not because of any reason other than I do not find it enjoyable. If your a Dom, you want it done, then by all means it is still a Domly thing to do. I always like the phrase" different strokes for different folks".

Anything anal that provides pleasure would be OK. Personally, I don't care for pain, so any anal practice that causes pain would not be on my list as pleasurable (something the size of my ENORMOUS cock would be on that list).

From my perspective (sub), i don't find anything wrong with a Dominant indulging in this kind play.

If it feels good and the parties involved enjoy it, then whether it is perceived to be less Domly or downright weak, should be of no consequence to the giver or the receiver. Strength in dominance isn't about abstinence from anal play. i can see how it would be viewed as a vulnerability -- penetration for those who normally penetrate. Still, i think those feelings are valid, but not an indication of weakness.

If that's the case and following through on the "anal penetration equates to weakness" thinking, any Dominant who is penetrated anally (whether by finger, tongue, toy or sexual organ) is definitely lesser in their Dominance and henceforth compromised as a person who can assert control over another. Absurd.
