(OOC: Looking for a female writer who is willing to post more than a few sentences, make an effort and write about feelings as much as the actual sex. Pm me before posting.)
“Come on Jen, we need to go,” Jason said, waiting impatiently for his girlfriend to get ready.
She was a pretty girl, but not the brightest and he was already bored of her. Still she was the only one he knew in this city and the sex wasn’t bad. They had just moved to San Francisco together for his new job. Ever since he got that call from his old college buddy David everything had gone really fast. Two months later he had moved from the east coast, left his old job and just started his new. Their place was still a bit barren, but at least they had everything they needed.
“So what do you think, Jason?” Jen asked, finally deciding she was ready. She had a nice red dress, showing a lot of cleavage. She always had a lot of make-up on and he didn’t see what the extra hour from her usual routine had added.
“You look fine.”
“Just fine? I spent two hours getting ready you know?” Jen said not sounding too pleased.
Jason grabbed his girlfriend and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her.
“You look amazing,” he said. In truth he couldn’t really tell the difference from how she usually looked, but telling the truth didn’t seem like a very good option. She struggled a bit before she accepted the kiss.
“You’ll ruin the make-up,” she said not sounding to displeased.
Jason hadn’t expected Jen to move with him to the west coast when he told her he was moving. The relationship had gone a bit downhill after she caught him cheating with her best friend, or more correctly her former best friend. He tried to think back to when the last time he had a relationship that didn’t end up with someone cheating, only to realize that it hadn’t happened since he dated his high school girlfriend April. He still felt a bit bad about how it had ended and sometimes he wondered what would’ve happened if he hadn't left April.
Jen had wanted to move with him to San Francisco, saying it would be a great way to get a fresh start to the relationship and forget about the past. Jason had never been good with breakups and he still liked her, so it had been an easy decision to let her move with him. There had been so much to do since they moved here two weeks ago and she had really been a huge help. Without her at least half of the stuff would’ve still been unpacked, besides having someone to spend the night with was another perk of them living together.
He had started his new job this Monday, working alongside David on this huge R&D project. David had always been the smarter of the two, but he lacked a bit of leadership skill. He was a huge asset to the company he worked, so when he wanted Jason to lead his next project, they had been very accommodating. For Jason the job would mean more money and more responsibility than he had ever had before. Career wise it had been the easiest decision of his life and he felt very grateful towards David.
“How long have you known this guy anyway?” Jen asked.
“We started college at the same time seven years ago, so seven years. All I had to do to get a great grade on a project was to work with him. We worked really well together and we worked together every chance we got. I met for an hour a month ago when I had the interview for the job, but before that I hadn't seen him for two years,” Jason answered.
“So was he your best friend in college?”
“Not really, we just worked really well together. On a personal level we got along fine, but we were never that close. I mean, I wasn’t even invited to his wedding last year. This will actually be the first time I meet the bride.”
The party was already well underway when they arrived. Jason had bought an expensive bottle of scotch, a bit boring maybe, but he knew David’s tastes and he liked expensive whiskey. He saw David and made his way over and presented the gift. They chatted for a while and Jen decided to go to the bathroom to freshen up.
“So, where’s this wife of yours?”
“Good question, she should be around here somewhere. I’ll make sure to introduce you two later unless she shows up.”
That’s when Jason saw her, his high school sweetheart and his first love. He couldn’t take his eyes away from her; she looked just as she had eight years ago when he last saw her. Her body was still amazing, the only difference was that it looked more like the body of a woman than the last time he’d seen her.
“Oh there she is, April come over her I want to introduce you to someone,” David said interrupting his thoughts.
Jason first looked at David and then April, then David again. Then it hit him just who David was married to. His body still lusted for hers, remembering what it had been like when they were together. They had almost spent more time sleeping together than anything else that last summer, before they broke up. He wanted to rip the dress of her and take her right there in the living room.
“Hi April,” Jason said, looking directly into her eyes, partly because he couldn't look away and partly because he wanted to figure out what she was thinking.
“Do you two know each other?” David asked them, sensing there was something between them.
“We know each other,” he said still looking into April’s eyes.
“I know Jason from college and…” David started saying, before realizing no one was listening.
“Why don’t you give me a tour of the house April?” Jason asked, still looking into her beautiful blue eyes. He hadn't felt so alive in years and he wondered if she felt the same thing.
