What made you smile and or laugh today

this thread was started by HottieMomma a while ago.

It's fun to have a place to share these, and for me reading through the good part of peoples days is a bit like perusing lol catz. A little smile therapy sometimes goes a long way.

Ooooo I forgot about this thread ENTIRELY. I'm SO glad you revived it!

I laughed at this for like...a SOLID minute this morning. It STILL makes me quietly giggle in my head every time I read it...

My little one has been sick, so imagine my surprise when idly notice she is not in the living room with the rest of the family, & turn to discover the outside door unexpectedly cracked on a dark rainy evening. Fortunately I checked her room before running out into the rain; blankets were strewn across her floor. She was hiding in the cabinet where the blankets are normally kept.

"Shhhh!" she tells me when I peek in, "i'm a scary monster"

my little sluagh.

~~~
And now it's time to go crazy with toddler proof door knob covers, because scary is right.
Last night after a hellish drive home in blowing snow and rain, I got home to see a present from my mom. Apple Crisp (yum). I grabbed a forkful and was prepared for it's delightful taste...it was sort of peppery hot tasting. I think it's my imagination and try another bite...yeow it's HOT .. I look a little closer and geez the spices along the top are pretty RED looking instead oif the burnt umber of cinnamon and nutmeg....My dear old mother must have been cooking without her glasses on again...cayenne pepper instead of nutmeg or cinnamon ... oh boy
Still smiling this morning ...
I'm chuckling at the fact that Smile/Laugh is the only closed thread (so far) that's been resurrected twice.
I'm thinking there's going to be some cleanup in the copy editors' aisle of this newspaper office.
