While I agree with you, Laurel. I also have to say that stories of underaged sex should not really matter too much. Granted, it would probably disgust me to read about some guy screwing a 10 year old but the 1st Amendment often backs up the author. As a former law enforcement officer, I can explain that we (society, that is) cannot be pressured to believe that by writing such a story, some pervertic sicko may go out and rape a child. It is the same as trying to blame music lyrics to juvenile crime and/or suicides. But, while individuals have the constitutional right to write a story about underaged sex, you, Laurel, have the right not to publish it online. And I respect that and you. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, MS. I agree, but what I think isn't the issue.

The First Amendment may back up the writer, but it doesn't mean I can't get hauled into court, fined, or jailed. Think it doesn't happen? Remember Mike Diana, Lenny Bruce, and others who have been persecuted for their art.

And it's not just legal issues. We are currently in a bit of a squall with our ISP because he is unhappy with much of the content on the site. I definitely don't want to be shut down, but I'm not going to delete what he wants removed, so we're working out a compromise. I'll keep you all posted.

I agree with you entirely, Laurel. That statement was based on alot of request for underage sex stories. I wouldn't advise you or any website host to jeopordize their freedom or livlihood for a story of some pervert screwing a little girl or a woman teaching the 15 year old grocery bagger a new way to "bag her groceries". It's not worth it. I have first hand experience dealing with such perverts from my time on the job. I once had to deal with a man in his 40's trying to proposition a 14 year old boy into allowing him to perform oral sex on him. I wanted to personally put that man out of that boy's and society's miseries. But of course, that was for the court to decide.

If history is a guide, one might if he/she thought God wouldn't let the ownership record become public knowledge. Religious fundamentalists don't seem to be any more straight-laced than anyone else if they think they can get away with it.

It's always been an issue because writing about underage/
sex is OK in book form (Lolita and Romeo & Juliet etc) so why not on the net?

Strictly, the laws about underage models having sex don't apply to the written word, but it is quite understandable that the site owners want to be ultra-careful. Also, for me, the absence of bestiality, necrophilia, castration and only allowing incest between healthy consenting adults is a plus.

Just a thought...there ARE some sights which allow underage content on their website, notably www.adultfanfiction.com and www.storinesonline.net. I also know of sights that will allow underage sex if BOTH of the people having sex in the story are underage.

While I certainly don't condone (or want to read) explicit descriptions of underage sex or pedophilia (for the un-educated, they are not the same thing), I also find the restriction limiting.

I have a fanfiction story that I have almost completed that I am quite proud of and would love to share, but I can't because it references the main character's abuse she experienced as a child (which was a major factor in her personality and played a significant role in her character arch throughout the story.)
