Well, TheCaptain [ I used to be nicked "Cap'n" years ago - was in Security & had real military-looking uniforms ] you will find a wide range of friends out here.

As for me, I tend to be writing a great deal, so you have a lot of stories to chose from. I contribute - or try to - about 3 or so a week.

I got the nickname from my Dad myself; he's passed away now, so it has special meaning to me now. Yes I know, there are a lot of great people out there, have met a few fantastic posters over in the Story Ideas forum and have been very happy so far with my venture over here to the Playground!

Wow! That's a great workload!

I myself am happy enough to spend upwards of a month or so in total getting my work ready to be submitted, and my reader base for the most part is happy enough to wait, because they know that what they get will *at least in my humble opinion lol* be worth it. It's a matter of personal pride for me now that every submission up at the moment is a H.

Thanks for the oblique reference to Editing, but I think I'm alright to self-edit - I've been doing it for years now, and as the old saying goes (don't know if its a universal one but meh) 'you can't teach an old dog new tricks!'

I don't have EVERY story with an H, but I don't aim to please everyone. I am writing for different audiences, some stories have had over 60 thousand readers. I also write daily and write very fast. The latest one was one of my longest single stories, I've also written / am writing novellas.

The "Editing" reference also meant that I have edited some other people's work out here, not that I was looking to edit yours. The middle of my sign-off usually changes.

Oh - at last count, I had 18 H's, which thrills me to bits. About a third of my stories, although a couple of my faves didn't make the cut.

I didn't mean to come across as arrogant or facteious or anything like that , and it's good not to aim to please any one particular crowd cause I think that's an impossibility, writing mainly for yourself is the way to go and if others like it too... all the better!

Ahhh, okay, I'm new to this part of the site remember... I'll pick up on things like this as time goes on. Will remember to keep that part about your middle sign-off part in mind for the future...

Well that's very impressive indeed, and the volume of work in its own right is staggering! Again, I have not yet read your work but will be sure enough to send a comment or two your way when I have! A shame about the faves.. at times the fan-base can be so cruel!

Intentionally trying to get back to using my vocabulary more, so forgive the large words.

No, a few people out here have mentioned at times they would like an Editor, so letting them know.

I HAVE to write, but in my case, it's led to at least ONE story being published [ next month or so, as I have been told - this story is NOT from Lit ] and the renewal of a part of me I thought was long-gone.

When negativity is directed at my stories in a cruel fashion, yeah, it is annoying. But if someone points out an error I can correct, I usually correct it.

This site has saved my sanity lately.
