I don't know as it's the best I've written but my favorite is probably Dark Fever. It's a total girl fantasy with humor. I really love stories with humor.
I also particularly like A Full Body Massage, Another Boring Day at Work, Longing, Rubbed the Right Way and Turning Seasons. I've started deleting junk I wrote during Survivor but I haven't gotten too far.

I have several I really like.
Tango with a Vampire: a different twist on a familiar story.
Rainforest Encounter: a sweet little tale.
Moonlight Wood: a bit of whimsy.
Shopping for Sex Toys at WalMart: the one that's the closest to my "real" voice ~ and the one that gets stolen the most often.

Thanks for the feedback! Quickies are what I do for now, hopefully some longer stories will turn up during the year!

John O'Haras best short stories (all erotic) are 1000 word quickies.

Yeah it laid the foundation.
My plan was between the depressing story of their past and Megan's "walk down memory lane" that would tell people there wouldn't be a lot of laughs here.
Also I made the first sex scene pretty violent again to set the tone.
So I pretty much said "Here you go kids this is what you're going to get."
And btw, thank you for not calling out the horrific grammar. That was my third submission here, but one of the first things I had written and it shows,
I keep saying I am going to submit a better edited version, but its on that list of things that everyone has that always gets buried under other lists.

To Catch a Merchant Princess Everything just comes together so well in that one. It's one of those stories that I can read back through and enjoy myself without nit-picking it to death.

I have written many stories, but there is just SOMETHING about this one. I wrote it in three days. The shortest time I've ever taken to write a story. They usually take me around a month per chapter.
Very little sex, and it is gay. You said you were bi, but if that doesn't appeal to you...

This is my favorite straight story.

I remember reading Another Boring Day at work. I liked the build-up in that one. You always do well with your characterizations.

I didn't start this thread to really critique anyone's writing. I was just more interested in what individual authors think of their own work. Besides, I tend to overlook grammatical errors unless they become glaring.

You and I are of like mind, Dark. I don't think I ever realized that so much as when we worked on Red's A Royal Sacrifice together.

Red and I finally hit the wall early last year with people asking about the missing chapters of that one ( from where Maharat left Lit ) and wrote replacement chapters to fill in the story.
I was lucky that Maharat had me look over the chapter that I ended up replacing ( 19, which was originally supposed to be mine in the chain, but my muse flitted away on me and I had to bow out ) so I remembered all the plot elements pretty well.
Took all that, and then worked in some bits of the stuff I originally had planned all those years ago, and I'm quite happy with it. Nice to have finally fulfilled my contribution to the chain
Not very many people have read it, but I'm quite happy with it.
Hope you don't mind me slipping a line from Transformers the Movie ( the animated one, not the Bay stuff ) into Bagdemagus' mouth *laugh*
"Such heroic nonsense"
It just fit the scene, and I couldn't resist

I wasn't aware that Maharat -- and her chapters in the chain -- were gone. I'm going to have to look them up and see how those reworked chapters went.
Haha, "Such heroic nonsense" sounds like something Bags would say.
You know, I've been thinking of reviving that character, either literally in a literary way(does that make sense?), and doing a 'back from the dead' story or series, or just a different one altogether. I really enjoyed writing Bagdemagus. He is, without a doubt, my favorite villain.

I'm looking for a good place to import Guy into my fantasy world. I'm really fond of him.
I'm thinking that the sequel to "Blackhawk Hall" might be the perfect place for the alternate world version of him to play similar angles to what the original did in Royal Sacrifice.
My freshly minted Baroness Arilee is coming into a barony that's been run by disinterested beureacrats for years, in a region where serfdom still hasn't run its course.
Dirt poor serfs aren't going to sit well with a girl like Ari. She's going to start shaking the trees pretty hard from the moment she hits the ground, and a lot of rotten nuts are sure to fall out of those trees.
Perfect place for a schemer like Guy to find opportunity, and the perfect opportunity to humble him a bit with a gorgeous little slip of a girl
Back on topic: If I have to pick from Les stories, I'd go with Heart of the Wood or Ghost of a Chance
For RejectReality, it's Souvenir or Nude Holly Day

My best (in my opinion) work are not so high scoreing, but they are non/lightly erotic, at least compared to a lot of my stuff.
"Flash"
The idea came to me in a dream and I woke up and started writing.
"My New Best Friend"
Is probably my best, I wrote it for an editor to thank her for her effort.

There's marvelous writing here and other places, but most of it here and other places is mediocre at best. And American Idol will always be more popular than Masterpiece Theatre, cuz the pool of American Idol fans is so large.

Thanks.
I feel guilty for not writing a few more straight stories, but I just can't make myself do it.
I kind of want to write some more if I can... I have no illusions that a good chunk of fans of my work are the ones who read Half-breed and Slave girl.

I thought you did a great job with My New Best Friend. The only thing I questioned (other than the category) was the woman looking forward to a tall glass of whiskey. You know your inspiration better than any of us, but that part just felt odd to me.
