As a younger man and student of life, I would have put forth that the acquisition of knowledge would give man the happiness and fulfillment for a lifetime. I might have said a successful career in any field, a work or works of art put before and appreciated by others, might give one satisfaction.

And I would be partially correct in all of them, but not wholly.

Even though the vast majority of our populatin lives in metropolitan areas, far from the pull of nature, it still calls out to them as they trek to the pristine hinterland they so carefully preserve.

If you have ever held a newborn infant in your arms are realizxed the total dependcy that child lives under, you might have felt that awesome imperative that nature place in us all...the urgent desire to have and protect and love such a replication of ones' self.

No doubt women more than men, and watch them coo ovef a baby no matter whose it might be.

They say at death, a man ejaculates in one last effort to continue his line...I dunno about that, but it fits in terms of the survival of species and the maintenance of the life of the individual.

This is something so fundamental, so primitive in those ancient parts of the brain, and so urgent that it cannot be denied. Well, of course it can, you can have an hysterectomy or a vasectomy and settle the issue physically for the time being. But the psychological imperative remains regardless.

I quoted and noone like that statistic that the only women whose birth rate increased was those between 40 and 44 years of age...those who put off child birth as long as they could, but then felt it was worth the risk to bear a child.

To mek that in effect, confirms my argument in a small way.

But the purpose for which I gather those facts, was to counter the faulty and phony over populatiion guru's who may have ruined thousand or millions of young female lives by convining them not to start a family and add to the population.

Everyone seems to applaud the decrease in teen births, not I, I think the younger, within reason, the better. As a woman reaches her prime at age twenty five (do the research) she becomes so set in her ways that she makes a poor mother. The working mother is also a travesty in child raising.

I know I will get some of you to cnsider my premise and perhaps even one to follow it, change their lifeplan, go find a man and get with the program...I was once told when I first began lecturing, that even if I changed the mind of only one person, it was an accomplishment and I should appreciate it.
