If by large you mean long, I agree that being on top is good. That way you can control the depth of penetration. I've found that doggie, missionary with my legs over his shoulders, or anything where the guy can thrust really deep and I have little control over it can get painful sometimes. Play around with positions and you'll find what works and what doesn't; some may work fine if you ask him to go not QUITE so deep  |

We did, but it was a bit too painful.
