How do you remove magic marker?
I'm curious if anyone has any tips on removing permanent marker from a material similar to kid skin. It's actually more similar in texture to that whale foreskin material used in super high end upholstery. (Yes, that's a real thing) But I doubt many people are familiar with that.
But it's a very delicate material and I don't want to rub too hard and make a mess. I'm afraid to use any harsh chemicals on it. Some child drew on it.
Thanks in advance for any home remedies.

On a scale of 1 to Moby Dick, just how similar to whale foreskin is this material?

I don't have any firsthand experience with this (magic marker stains or whale foreskin), but some suggestions on the Googles I found were Windex, nail polish remover, and rubbing alcohol. Have you tried any of those?

It's pretty similar. But it's not foreskin. I've only felt whale foreskin once. This is not quite that soft. More like threeskin.
Most of it is gone, but you can still see the marker if you look close.

No. Just soap and water. I was scared to use any chemicals before asking if people tried it.

I want to be very clear that I have not tried any chemicals on any marker stains. Just telling you what I found on the Googles. I don't want you to accidentally turn threeskin into twoskin or oneskin or, God forbid, noskin.

I used tea tree oil to get permanent marker off of my sons face when he was little . It's non toxic so it may be what you need.

OK - did the obvious and googled it
Anti-bacterial hand gel - would be reasonably gentle

I rubbed it gently with some mild hand soap and water and it came out. Barely evident anymore.
Your help is appreciated. Tea tree oil will be kept in mind for future problems.

Yes, yes you really did. Though not as bad as that photo I sent you a while back of the artwork Princess Ratbag did to my face with permanent marker!

*nods* That works great on any kind of fabric, also whitening toothpaste will work on fabrics.

No cleaning help, but...
A friend of mine once told me he had a whale foreskin wallet. And if he rubbed it right, it began an overnight bag.
I told that friend about the job I used to have circumcising elephants. The pay wasn't very good, but the tip sure were big!
(Thank you, I'll be here all week... try the veal!)
