Pending Story

I apologize if this is addressed in a thread somewhere, but I have a submission that has been pending for several days (longer than I recalled for prior submissions). Recently, the pending tab on my submission has changed to black which does not permit edits. Does anyone know if this means approval is forthcoming or am I banished to pending purgatory. Thx

Is there a date in the "Date" column? If your story has been rejected, you'd have the word "Rejected" in the "Status" column and there would be a link to click on to see why.

My guess is that your story has been approved, but has not posted yet. Once it is, "pending" will changed to "Approved."

Just an observation that it's still taking five days or more for a noncontest story to post.

Just a bit of follow up because even though I have several stories already posted, the second part of my current one is still pending after a week. I went looking on here to see what I could find and found the answer.

If you submit a story and while it is pending go back and edit it, that resets the clock back to zero. In other words, you have to wait the 3-5 days from when you last edited your story while it is in pending status before it will be posted.

I think what PennLady says is right: When the word 'Pending' turns from blue to black, it means that your submission is now in the process of being approved for posting.

I noticed this a few weeks ago, when checking the status of one of my own submissions.
