Had mine out back when I was 18,think it ruined my life.Hope they used the electric cauterizing scapel ,too,it seals the incision.
Anyways I been there ,done that.
If they used a local like cocaine,beware,after it wears off,it can give you cocaine withdrawals /manifests as depression as well as the physical trauma.Most anti depressants are used in controlling cocaine cravings in those habituated,the health food store anti depressants are a world safer like hypericin,ie,St Johns Wort Extract.Also available from swansonvitamin.com with www in front...

Oh ,n the trauma can cause3 up to 1/2 the glutamine to exit your muscles.Its the most abundant amino in muscles n surgery has a tendency to do that to you.Cabbage is abundant in glutamine,so is cottage cheese.

Big box stores sell Whey protein powder,also has glutamine as well as full complement of aminos which help the depression act like anti depressants ,, in 2 lb jars,sometimes 4 lb.My walmart sells 2 lb for 15 bucksin pharmacy OTC section,Im a believer in it.Its one of the best things for genl convalescence.
I was a State Hospital psych nurse a few yrs,got a 2 yr degree in mental health social work.
So I ll also mention youre at risk for blood clots too,lower than head causes heart attacks,20% of population have heart troubles,above head clots cause strokes.
After getting out ,I suggest some liver to build the blood back up,chicken,calves liver,liverwurst,livermush...& if at walmart,the generic one a day without iron.
The iron increases risks of bad bacterial infections.Get iron also from red meat/Beef,etc...

Did you pass out after,or during surgery?I did ,think it was a heart attack./& keep warm,ask for extra blanket,bloodloss causes one to feel cold...Traces of cocaine can stay in your blood up to 6 mo,& make you test pos for drugs,be aware of this.
Its disgusting that France has antibiotics specific for tonsilitis,that make it un necessary for such a operation,isn t it?

Yrs later I learned why.Im o pos,ma was AB neg,& it causes a transfusion reaction because of the hh subgroup that was undiagnosed.This kind of thing causes a rare form of palsy called kernicterus.Kinda like systemic lupus,where inflammation hits anywhere in the body.

Wow, that's a whole lot to read lol. I'm pretty sure they didn't use cocaine as a local aenesthesia. And the put me under for the whole procedure. I'm told they used a laser type thingy, not scalpels anymore.

Thats good news,they use the cocaine when they keep you awake,local its called,its a spray foam.They say sometimes ,its to make you bleed less,& keep you awake,I passed out anyways,maybe I had a heart attack.My doc said Im doing it this way because the last guy bled 3 units & went into shock when he did it under regular anesthetic..
The laser scapel is superior but takes a little longer,but is also superior ,because it cauterizes the wound ,so its welded shut ,insteadof being a open ,bleed ing wound for days.
You could eat steaks,hamburgsthe 1 st week if you put em in a blender n liquify them,is another comment I could make,n best wishes with your recovery.Goodnite.
