The big difference with a condom is that it's dry. But since the wetness is a pretty big part of what makes it fun, then, yeah, it does reduce sensation. (One can always put a bit of lube on the INSIDE of the condom.)

Yeah they do,
We've been married for forty plus years, but yeah, they did. When we first hooked up we were young n dumb, but smart enough to use them. Tried various makes n styles, lubricated and 'dry' using our own lubes. Just wasn't as much fun.
We had an open marriage for several years and used them, but again wasn't as much fun.

Can't speak for the female side, but there is the simple fact that while wearing a condom, the guy looses the sensation of the friction generated by thrusting. Sure, you can feel the pressure of her squeezing, her tightness, but all the actual friction is on the outside of the condom.
Also, I think there is a huge psychological difference. I'd expect some women to agree with that.

IMO it sure does. Skin to skin contact's what sex is all about, period. I liken using a rubber to taking a shower wearing a raincoat; you get the experience, but don't feel anything.

As a woman, I can say condoms feel different than an uncovered cock. Even for a girl the sensations are different. I'm not sure how to explain it, except to say that even with lube, it still feels fake. Maybe it is physiological, maybe not, but there is a definite difference.

Don't apologize, you're entitled to your own opinion. However, I have used enough condoms in my lifetime from a variety of manufacturers in the US and Japan, including both latex and lambskin varieties, and that's my evaluation. If you enjoy using them, well, good for you. |

The one time I went without a condom was worse than all the other times I used a condom. Though I think the two vaginas had more to do with that than the rubber...

It's been over a decade for me, but yeah it makes a difference, there is a lack of sensation.
But I always told myself I would rather have the lack of that sensation than a recurring itching and burning sensation or worse, the sensation of a twisting stomach waiting for the results of a pregnancy test.

Yes, I can tell a distinct difference without one. The skin to skin contact is not felt, the body heat can not be felt, can not speak for others, but I can tell quite a difference. |

Yes, sensation is reduced, and it always impinges on the intimacy to pause to put a condom on. Plus, the smell. But, honestly, the other choices are worse than that if you're hooking up, so I always use one.
I tend to use ultra-thin lubricated, and those work pretty well and have a relatively small impact on sensation.
