I like this idea, it would make for a good short story where the main who is a little bit uptight does make the mistake of drinking the spiked punch or champagne and maybe she stumbles in upon a couple of guests in a bedroom.

I've had a similar idea, but it is a bit late as well. After an Xmas party, not adult but with parents, kids and Santa. After everyone leaves, a young mom and Santa are the last people left, cleaning up and chatting.

I like the idea of couples crashing....maybe they went up to the mountains to stay at one of the couples cottages or at a resort (something with 2-4 bedrooms, deck and a hot tub).
