(AP) US petition to deport Piers Morgan hits 31,400
LONDON
More than 31,400 people have signed a petition calling for British CNN host Piers Morgan to be deported from the U.S. over his gun-control views.
Morgan has taken an aggressive stand for tighter U.S. gun laws in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting. Last week, he called a gun advocate appearing on his "Piers Morgan Tonight" show an "unbelievably stupid man."
Now, gun-rights activists are fighting back. A petition created Dec. 21 on the White House e-petition website by a user in Texas accuses Morgan of engaging in a "hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution" by targeting the Second Amendment and demands he be deported immediately.
The petition has already hit the 25,000 signature threshold to get a White House response. By Monday, it had 31,430 signatures.

Morgan can be an ass but his views on gun control are shared by a majority of Americans. He's just exercising his 1st Amendment. Not surprising the extremists can't tolerate that.

I don't agree with Piers a lot. In this country he is allowed to say anything (mostly) he wants. If I want to say stupid things I have to protect his right to do so too.

because she swallows media bullshit. if the media does a poll on this, and 49% of those polled (which is far from actually asking ME) said yes to gun control, then the media will spin it as saying the majority agrees.
it's like how people sat in front of their damn idiot boxes (tv) and cried about people who got killed that they have no connection to whatsoever (columbine, newton, etc,etc.etc.). did they cry for those people who died in iraq from malnutrition and inadequate health care due to UN/US embargo for over 10 years? hell no. the media didn't tell them to be sad.
