This is a good point, no one likes a bad loser. However, I am adding an addendum to this.
Don;t play if you don't at least want to win.

22. Maintain an active mind in a strong body: exercise both regularly.
23. Be friendly to all you meet. A smile costs nothing and it earns goodwill.
24. Treat everyone equally whether it's a beggar or a prince.
25. Contribute what you can afford to your favorite charity.
26. Always let the woman cum first and cuddle with her afterwards.

Well, seeing I had 2 daughters then "closed up shop" guess I'm off the real man list.
On the plus side seeing as I'll be the last to carry my name I guess its only fair I should live forever,

True, at least according to all those whiny immortal vampires.
Depends on your health. I see people in their late 80's still enjoying a decent quality of life and think, wow I hope I get there.
Then I see Alzheimer patients and people in wheel chairs etc...and think, nah, I really don;t want to get there.
All I know is.....
I really don't get that choice.

According to all my peers back in high school I was never supposed to see 21 so I'm well ahead of the game. I should have taken better care of myself but it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun.

I had 30 predicted for me. A lot of people figured I would kill someone in my 20's then get killed before I turned 30.
Obviously I've done neither. What's really funny is running into all the "do-gooders" and brainiacs I went to HS with and them finding out I'm doing better than most of them.
You just never know.
as for taking care of yourself it depends on the person. I've kept myself in very good shape, but have also pushed myself very hard over the years. I'm due for a shoulder surgery to repair some ligament damage and my right knee is not in the best of shape.
So who knows? Just have as much as you can while you're still here. When my time comes I don;t want to be one of those "I wish I..." kind of people
Something tells me you're not one of those.

If
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream---and not make dreams your master;
If you can think---and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss:
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son!
Rudyard Kipling

I committed this to memory years ago because it's such a great example of the kinds of lessons that too many fathers don't teach their sons.
On another note, isn't it funny how as men, our list has remained pretty constant for the last several decades (if not centuries)? I'm pretty sure that women started making significant changes to their list back in the 50's and 60's. Maybe we should go ahead and update ours too?

Why bother? Women have been updating the men's list too.
