OOC: the OOC thread for this RP is the last thre pages of this

IC: Mirror Master. That was what he was called now. He had shed his previous identity, leaving it, no, saving it for future use. But now, he needed something else. Money. And how to get lots of money without getting caught? Ransom. So he had taken the liberty of hiring some thugs.
"Hey boss, what we supposed to do again?" a thug asked him for the umpteenth time. The Mirror Master scowled, becoming impatient with these people.
"You just walk in their, take the kid, and threatens to kill it if you are followed. Then come back here, and we make a getaway. And don't forget to bring the guns." he reminded them, almost mockingly. He drove the van up to the targets house, and pushed the brakes quickly. He turned back to the thugs behind him, in the back of the car. "Remember, don't kill anyone. Just take the baby, okay?" They nodded, understanding, and the Mirror Master told them to leave the van. As they left, he couldn't help but smile as he felt that his plan was falling perfectly into place.

Georgia:

Georgia is walking down the street on her way to a music store for a huge event.
On the phone with a friend: "Yeah. I'm on my way to the CD signing...I know it's stupid to buy a CD for a promotional item...You think of a better way to get a five-hundred-dollar nekomimi headband for free...If it makes you feel better I'll give you the CD since you like her so much...Anyway, I need to go now. I'm at the line...Talk to you later...yeah, bye."

She hangs up the phone and takes her place at the end of the line. She tries to see how many people are ahead of her but the crowd is too densely packed.

"With a wait this long, I better get a headband," she thinks.

Carson:

She is practically vibrating with excitement. She had camped out all night to get this spot, and now she was almost to the front. She did her best not to squeal in excitement, something that had almost gotten her thrown out when she did it at the door. The line inched forward and there was now only one more person in front of her. She could now actually SEE THE Angel McKenzie before her very eyes! She was even more amazing in person! Then it was finally her turn and she walked up to the table where the singer sat surrounded by CD's and boxes.

"I'm so happy to finally meet you! Your music has really helped me deal with a lot of pain."


Angel:

She smiled warmly at the girl.

"I'm touched that my music has affected you so deeply. I promise to work hard so you can keep enjoying it."

She grabbed a CD from the stack and signed it before giving it to the girl. Just as she reached into the box to give the girl a headband, James leaned down and whispered into her ear.

"Mrs. Wagner, there's been a break in at your home. They've taken Wunder."

"My baby?! Call Kurt and get to the bottom of this."

Angel turned back to her fans and gathered her composure.

"I'm truly sorry everyone. Something has come up and I need to leave. CD's reduced to half price for the trouble."

She rushed away and as soon as she was out of sight, she began breaking down. They had taken her darling, only baby. Her most precious treasure. There was so much at stake...

Evan
He had his orders. It was simple. He would call the police, and threaten to kill the chief if they followed. It was so easy, so simple, that he had almost not taken the job. But his employer promised a food payday, and he just couldn't refuse. He walked up to the nearest telephone booth, put in a quarter, and dialed 911. It rang for a bit, and Evan made sure his voice distorted was working.
"Hello?" a person asked on the other line. Evan waited for a second, and then answered her.
"This is Kira. If any of your cops go after the man who kidnapped Angel Mckenzie's baby, than I will be forced to kill your chief. Just to show I mean business, I will make reporter Jim Langsley die of a heart attack in 40 seconds." He heard her quickly shuffle over to some. Other people, an they called someone up. After a minute of waiting, Evan heard her voice again.
"O..okay, y..you've proven your p..point. We won't send anyone." she assured him. Evan smiled, and hung up the phone.


Danny
Much as he had promised himself that today would be his day off, hi just couldn't bear to to save this child. Danny left his room, walked into his apartment, and chanted "Unleash the light!" Right as he finished transforming, he zoomed out of his apartment, and to where the van was supposed to be. He couldn't go as fast as light, for he had so little energy, not enough to do so, but he could go as fast as 50 mph. He stopped at the interaction the van was supposed to reach, and absorbed some more light.
"I have got to find some other heroes to help me out," he uttered to himself. Before he could finish that though, he saw the van come into view. He got ready to use his eye beams, but before he could even think of it, the van stopped right in front of him. He saw someone step out, carrying no weapons whatsoever, just wearing a hood. His face was covered in shadows, and his voice was unrecognizable. "I see that the Golden Light has joined us. Let us give him a friend, shall we?" he asked. Danny was confused, but before he could do anything, the man was focusing on him. He didn't feel any different, and when the man stopped focusing, nothing had changed.
That was, of course, before he felt a body ram into him, he turned to see who it was, and saw a young woman standing over him. She smiled, and turned to the shadowed man. "What would you like for me to do father?" she asked him. He thought for a moment, and simply answered "Put him to sleep." And then he went back into the van and was off. The last thing Danny saw was the woman put his hand on his head, and he was powerless to fight back. And then everything went dark.

Georgia:

Georgia saw the line ahead of her begin to thin out and when one of them passed her, she tapped his shoulder.

"Why's everyone leaving?"

"A-Mac had to leave suddenly. Everyone who wanted her autograph is leaving."

"Do you know why she left?"

"No. But it had to be important. Angel McKenzie is really loyal to her fans..."

"Thanks."

The man left and Georgia stayed in line, though only to ponder what was going on.


Carson:

She read the air and took off behind the singer, staying out of sight. She found the ladies' room and changed.

"Ne, times like this, I miss Onee-sama. At least she can levitate."

She stealthily found the car and memorized the license plate before hotwiring a nearby motorcyle and following after it.

"This is a hell of a lot more lively than Tokyo..."


Angel:

Angel hastily dialed her husband.

On the phone: "Kurt, they've taken Wunder. They've taken our baby."

He replied with a string of German profanities.

"Do you know who it was?"

"Not yet. You need to get to the house. Bring Dad and as many of the others as you can. We can't risk the authorities seeing Wunder."

"I'll be there and I will personally find and kill the bastards who took my daughter."

"Please, just get here soon."

They hung up and Angel resumed weeping.

"Mrs. Wagner, it will be okay. We will get Wunder back."

"I know. I just can't help thinking that I'm not meant to have a family."

"I promise Mrs. Wagner, even if I have to do it myself, you will be reunited with your daugher."

Mirror Master
Much as he would have liken to have taken out the Golden Light himself, Mirror Master didn't want to waste time. He had gotten back to his warehouse without anyone following them or attacking them. The child was wrapped in a cloth, and no one had looked at it yet. The thugs put the child in the crib that they had stolen, and walked over to the Mirror Master.
"What now?" one of them asked. Instead of losing his temper or yelling at them, the Mirror Master only smiled.
"At last, my plan is coming together! I will have my perfect life soon! All of you must guard the entrances! If you see my daughter, let her in. Of you see Kira let him in. Anyone, keep them out, okay?" he told them. They all nodded,and went to guard all the entrances.

Evan
After his threat on the police, nothing really happened. So Evan just took a walk around. He decided to crash some places. He found Angel Mackenzie's car parked by her home, so Evan decided to wait by it. Evan never knew why, but he was always who loved to take risks. He stood by the car, not doing anything in particular, when he got a call on his cell. He looked at his phone, and saw that it was from the last person he wanted to talk to right now... Daniel. Evan knew he shouldn't have told Daniel he was in town, but he did for some reason. He answered the phone, not too sure why he did.
"Daniel, what do you want?" he asked. Evan had, of course, not told Daniel that he was an assassin, which was very useful for him.

Danny
Danny heard Evan pick up the phone, and he thanked The Lord that he had.
"Evan, you heard about that kidnapping? It is all over the news!" he told him. Danny had, of course, not told Evan he was a vigilante. He wanted as few people as possible to know. He waited a bit for Evan to respond, and then got his answer.
"Yah, I heard about it. Why don't you do something? With your powers, you could easily stop it. I mean, at our Temple, you were always the best. Or do you think that this new guy, the Golden Light, will out light you?" Evan asked. Danny took in a breath, realizing that Evan probably knew.
Shit! I shouldn't have been so obvious! He knows all about my powers, and he ain't no idiot! he scolded himself. Before he could answer, Evan hastily said "I gotta go,"and hung up the phone. Danny put his cell away, and crawled into bed, thinking about how he had gotten from chasing a. An to being in his apartment without any recollection of coming home.

Georgia:


Georgia was very pleased that enough...'real fans'... had left that she just barely got a headband. She had gotten the last one. Just as she was on her way home, her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Have you seen the news yet?"

"No."

"Wunder Wagner was kidnapped!"

"Who's Wunder Wagner?"

"A-Mac's daughter! Just last week it was all over the news that the kid had just turned one!"

"What's with the different last name then?"

"A-Mac's husband's name is Kurt Wagner. Aren't you the least bit concerned that a baby is in danger?!"

"Of course I am! But you can't treat my like a pariah for not knowing enough celebrity gossip."

"Well, I'm telling you, go! Do something useful with yourself!"

"I'm going! Dammit Marcy, don't be such a nag!"

She then hastily found somewhere to change and began her own search for the child.

Carson:

Carson stopped the bike in an alley a short ways from the fairly modest home of her favourite American singer. For the rest of the way, she relied on her ninja training to get around the back of the house. She looked through the kitchen window and saw an older man seemingly in his fifties pouring a cup of tea. He looked a lot like Angel and looked extremely upset. She assumed it must be the singer's father. She then looked around the front of the house and saw someone near the car. Her heart sank and she got an ominous feeling though she couldn't make out the person in total clarity. She stealthily moved closer until she could see who it was. When she made out the person, she regretted it. She wasted no time and steeled herself, attacking him from behind and using pressure points to make him collapse onto the ground so she could pin him.

In Japanese: "What are you doing here?! Are you the one behind whatever's going on here?"

Angel:

Her father returned from the the kitchen carrying a tray of tea and placed it on the coffee table in front of she and Kurt.

"First I lose my daughter for nineteen years and now I could lose my only grandchild."

"Mr. McKenzie, everything will be fine. Once we know more, we can establish a plan of action. Most likely this is just a ransom stunt, in which case we can resolve it quickly."

"Thanks for the assurance, James, but what if it was a crazed fan who wants their own sick piece of me? Or what if it's an extremist group protesting my pro-mutant activities who want to kill Wunder to make a point? You're a great man, James, and an incredible friend and body guard, but you're not a parent. You can't totally understand what we're going through, even though I know you're trying."

Kurt put an arm around his wife to comfort her.

"We've come too far to lose everything now. We need to do something! I won't rest until I see the body of Wunder's kidnapper in a casket!"

He then once again resumed his angry and heartbroken rant in German.

Mirror Master
He had waited for his daughter to arrive back, and once she did, he called up Angel. It rang for a moment, and then it was picked up. He cold sense that they were about to tell him to leave them alone, but he spoke first.
"I must say, Angel's child is an excellent sleeper. If I didn't know any better, I wold say it was as if she were superhuman or something. Holden just don't sleep like this." he said calmly, as if he was the babysitter or something. He heard a gasp. No doubt this was on speaker. H waited a bit for an answer, but when he didn't get one, he only smiled.
"You probably have guessed I am doing this for money. Now listen carefully. If my instructions aren't followed word for word, I will send you one of the child's fingers to you in an envelope. The more mistakes, the more fingers." he waned them. He took a breath, and then spoke again.
"If you have any preferences or proposals for me, speak now, or I shall begin."

Evan
He had seen here before she had seen him, but he didn't believe it. But when she tackled him, he knew for sure it was her. He only smiled at her insistent questions, and he answered with the utmost calmness.
"You sure are brave facing me after what you did to me. You know, I became a full time assassin when you told my love what I was. So really, the way I turned out is all your fault. So shouldn't we both be arrested?" he questioned in the same type of Japanese she had. He was doing this to not her, to anger her. They hated each other. It was a fact, they were complete opposites. Well, not exactly, but still. Se didn't let off however, she only pressed harder. Evan winced, and he answered her again.
"No, I am not behind it, I am just working for an employer. He promised to pay me, and I did what I was told. You won't hear nothing out of me... Unless, of course, you pay me more than my current employer," he said with a grin.

Danny
Danny as extremely drained, which was odd since he could have sworn that he was at least half full of energy when he blacked out. But now, he had none whatsoever. And to top it off, his apartment had very little light in it. He couldn't afford too much electricity, not on what he earned. He yawned some, feeling very tired. But every time he closed his eyes, images of the nodded man and the young woman who was apparently his daughter invaded his thoughts. He couldn't go to sleep like that. Eventually, however, out of sheer exhaustion, he found sleep somewhere.

Georgia:

She really didn't know where to start and after watching a couple of news reports and wandering aimlessly around the city, she all but gave up. She wasn't very good at the detective work side of vigilante justice. She decided to do things the proper Musica way and headed to the seediest, raunchiest club she knew.

Carson:

She eased the pressure a little and slapped him before letting him up.

Still in Japanese: "I know it's pointless to apologize, but I really didn't mean for things to turn out that way for you. And I don't have any money, so I guess we're at a stalemate. No matter how much I'd like to, kicking your ass would just make a pointless scene. I don't know how a disgusting lowlife like you ever had a heart, let alone someone who loved you."

Angel:

"You sick bastard! I'll kill you!"

"Kurt, calm down! We don't want him to hurt Wunder."

Kurt let out an almost animal-sounding growl of frustration before kicking a chair and stomping into the kitchen to seethe safely. Once her husband was out of the room, Angel took a deep breath and replied to the man as calmly as possible.

"All that matters to us is getting Wunder back as quickly and safely as possible."

Her father held her hand and it helped to give her strength to listen to what the man had to say.

Mirror Master
He heard an insult, a threat, and then he heard the man who yelled walk off to sulk, it appeared. A woman, Angel he presumed, spoke to him. "All that matters to us is getting Wunder back as quickly and safely as possible." she said, which confirmed her as being the child's mother. He was glad she had no conditions, for it would have been wasteful for him to tell her he would do no such thing.
"We'll, if that is all, then we can work well together. First off, I won't you to swear that you will not send people after me. If you do, two things will happen. The Chief of Police will die, and Wunder will be hurt. Which isn't what you want, is it?" he asked. He smirked then and there, and made sure they cold hear it.

Evan
Evan nodded. He knew that it was a stalemate, like she said. But he wouldn't betray is employer. Before she could do anything, he broke into a sprint. He was still in good shape from his training in Japan. But he also knew that so was Omni. That is why when he felt that she was overpowering him, he stopped quickly and turned to face her. He let her run right into him, and he grabbed her, swung around, and threw her onto the ground. He took out a knife from one of his sheaths, and pointed it at her.
"You always overpowered me, but those days are over!" he yelled. He lifted p his blade, and brought it down with a streak of metal.

Danny
Danny's dreams were filled with the events of the previous evening. No matter what he did, whenever he played over the events of the evening, he just couldn't remember ever seeing the woman leave the van. In fact, before he saw the woman standing over him from when she knocked him over. I was as if she had just... Appeared. It was crazy, but he just couldn't think of anything else.

Georgia:

She had dressed in her trashiest punk rocker outfit and made sure she was virtually unrecognizable in her makeup and sunglasses. She entered the club and worked up the nerve to saunter as seductively as she knew how over to the bar where two lowlifes were chatting it up over drinks. She made a point to get between them and bend at the waist as she ordered a drink from the bar. Once she was handed the beverage, she receded slowly and turned around, leaning her back on the bar while poking out her chest and daintily touching the straw to her painted-red lips.

"So boys, how are you today?"

Carson:

She saw the blade coming down and managed to move her hand just enough to block the blade with the protective metal on the back of her glove. The blade still managed to cut one of her fingers, but at least she'd spared her life.

"We've been through this, Kira. It's practically instinct now. We meet, we fight, one of us somehow escapes, and we both go on our way. And you forget one more thing!"

She used her free hand to grab his wrist and siphon out the information she wanted, as well as a few new martial arts kata. He would only get a headache and be dizzy for a few moments, but it would be just enough for her to get out from under him and regroup. She let go and pushed the dazed man off of her just enough to run and escape out of sight.

Angel:

"We'll, if that is all, then we can work well together. First off, I won't you to swear that you will not send people after me. If you do, two things will happen. The Chief of Police will die, and Wunder will be hurt. Which isn't what you want, is it?"

Angel felt the tears welling back up in her eyes. She felt her father's grip tighten and let out a sound of discomfort. Her father then let go of her hand and put his own head in his hands. Kurt was making a bit of a racket in the kitchen as he was punching and kicking the walls while trying to stay within earshot of the kidnapper on the phone. Angel could see tears on his face though she didn't know if they were more from sadness or anger as he continued to mumble in German.

"I promise that we will not send anyone after you. Now, please tell me your other conditions."

Mirror Master
The Mirror Master smiled as she submitted to him. He took a breath, just to add some effect to the entire situation.
"Well, I want that neither you, your husband, or anyone who is related to you or close to you to drop off what I am to demand of you. If any of these people come here, I will be forced to either kill them or capture them and hold them ransom as well." he told her. He show his daughter flinch as she listened to him speak, but she didn't show anything else.
"Also, the person you send here must be completely unarmed. We shall make a thorough search of the body, and if we find a single device that could possibly be used to harm us, we will kill them, take the money, and demand more. Do you understand?" he asked.

Evan
He saw her deflect his blade, and then speak to him some more.
"We've been through this, Kira. It's practically instinct now. We meet, we fight, one of us somehow escapes, and we both go on our way. And you forget one more thing!" he heard her say, but then she grabbed his wrist, and he felt information drain from him. He cursed at being so careless. He should have remembered her abilities. He felt dizzy, and he fell onto the floor, and saw Omni leave his sight. He waited a moment for his head to clear, and when it dead, he shot up onto his feet and whipped out his phone. He quickly called his employer, and waited impatiently for an answer. Once he got one, he urgently told them the bad news.
"I was ambushed by someone who knew me, and she now knows about your hiding place! I can't kill her, so you best be prepared. I will send a photo," he told the person on the phone, and hung up, chose the photo, and sent it to the number.

Danny
Danny awoke with a jolt in the middle of the night, in a cold sweat. He reached for his lamp, but found it on. Shit he cursed himself. He had left the lights on! The bills would kill him. Not caring, he quickly changed into hero form, and ran out into the city. He had some energy, and the streetlights only offered him more. He made his way to Angel MacKenzie's house, and knocked on the door, still in his hero form. He knew that he would be able to offer his help.

Georgia:

Despite using her powers and all the womanly charm she could pretend to have, she gathered only one bit of useful information, and that was that the Angel McKenzie thing was much bigger than anyone thought. Of course, the man she got it from was blitzed off his ass, but she took what she could get.

Carson:

Once again mentally thanking Anniqua for all the training and guidance over the years, she found a place to sort the information she'd gathered. She now knew all the information that Kira did. She'd also gleaned some rather useless factoids, including what he'd had for breakfast that morning, to ensure he would be dazed enough for her to escape. She knew that if she burst in recklessly, she could risk endangering the baby and Angel McKenzie's family. Kira was not stupid, in fact he was quite clever, even if she hated to admit it, and had probably notified his employer about her impending assault. Then it came to her.

"I'll just do what Onee-sama would do!"

She knew it was the opposite of what Kira would expect her to do, and therefore the only way she could help without endangering anyone. If she just stealthily kept a watch on the handoff procedure and only attacked in the event of a double-cross, she may just be able to pull off a flawless rescue!

Angel:

"Well, I want that neither you, your husband, or anyone who is related to you or close to you to drop off what I am to demand of you. If any of these people come here, I will be forced to either kill them or capture them and hold them ransom as well."

At that, Kurt loudly spoke several expletives, though some of these were in English and understandable. Angel gestured to her husband to calm down, though it only regressed him to muttering in German. She then turned her attention back to the matter at hand.

"Also, the person you send here must be completely unarmed. We shall make a thorough search of the body, and if we find a single device that could possibly be used to harm us, we will kill them, take the money, and demand more. Do you understand?"

"I understand. Just tell us when, where, and how much."

At that moment, they heard a knock on the door and Angel gestured to James to answer it as the house staff had all been sent home in light of the day's events. James was confused when he was greeted by a glowing man in costume, though he shouldn't have really been too shocked given the nature and identities of his employers.

"I'm...ah...sorry sir but....ah....Mr. Wagner, could you come here?"

Mirror Mster
He heard the same man who had threatened him earlier swear yet again, and he only smiled. He heard Angle ask the details, and he smiled.
"We'll, for amounts, I want $10,000,000. As for place, it shall be done at where I am calling you from right now. I am not blocking you from tracing this call, so you can easily find me.And time, tomorrow, at 5:00 PM sharp. If you do not show, then I will inflict much pain on your child." At that he hung up. He put down the phone, and turned to his daughter.
"I heard your phone ring. Who was it?" he demanded. She turned to face him, and he could tell it wasn't good news.
"It was Kira. Someone had found our location. Here is a photo of the person." She raisd her phone, and the Mirror Mster got a good look at the woman.

Evan
Evan was still upset with himself. He had let his arch-rival escape him, especially when he had the chance to kill her, and not just leave with her life, but with the location of his employer! Hat had never, ever, happened to him, and he knew it would damage his reputation for awhile. He walked back to his car, put his keys in the ignition, and drove in several circles, just to make sure no one was following him. When he was sure he wasn't being followed, he drove directly to his employers warehouse, expecting that he wouldn't get to warn of a welcome.

Danny
He saw a man answer the door, and Danny could clearly see the confusion in his eyes. He quickly explained himself.
"Hi, I am here to help oth the rescue of Angel MacKenzie's child. If you could please tell her that, I would greatly appreciate it." He saw understanding dawn in his eyes, and he left him, no doubt to tell Angel she had a visitor. Danny waited patiently, hoping his help would be accepted. He had never done anything like this. Being so close to a person he was going to help, so he knew he had to be extra cautious. But hey, when you are as fast as light, and can only leave hero form by your choice, keeping your identity a secret was no problem. But Dannywould learn, to soon but later, how wrong he was.

Georgia:

Even with continued investigation, she failed miserably at finding out anything more pertinent to the issue of the missing child and decided to leave it to the authorities. Needless to say, she almost jumped out of her skin when she found Marcy waiting for her in her apartment.

"Holy shit, Marcy, you scared the Hell out of me."

"Sorry bout that. Did you find the kidnapper?"

"No. I got no leads and failed miserably. This one might just have to be handled by someone else. There are plenty of people who can help a lot more than I can."

Macy fumed but said nothing else.

"Here's the CD. I couldn't get it signed, but I thought you'd like it anyway."

Macy caught the CD as it landed in her hands.

Georgia just sighed as she went to go sulk in her room about how bad she was at what she did.

Carson:

Carson had abandoned her usual garb for her old traditional ninja attire. Fully decked in light chain-mail shirt and pants, night-sky blue yukata, shorts mask, and protective hood with her clan's crest engraved on the metal, black arm and leg guards, protective gloves and traditional boots, and her own addition: her signature goggles, she was ready to do some old-fashioned ninja business. She carried no weapons except for some paper bombs disguised as sacred seals and a grappling hook she would use to scale the warehouse where Mirror Master was hiding. If she did have to attack, no one would see her coming, especially Kira. Any skin that might have been exposed and revealed her as Omni(how many non-asian ninja are there in one city who happen to know the location of this warehouse?) was covered by bandages or clothing and to make certain her identity remained ambiguous, she'd bound down her chest and padded her waist so as to pass for more androgynous.

"Here I go. Onee-sama, please be proud and watch over me."

Angel:

James told Kurt of the visitor's words and the two men returned to the door, only to let the man in just in time to hear the next words the kidnapper spoke.

"We'll, for amounts, I want $10,000,000. As for place, it shall be done at where I am calling you from right now. I am not blocking you from tracing this call, so you can easily find me.And time, tomorrow, at 5:00 PM sharp. If you do not show, then I will inflict much pain on your child."

The man hung up before Angel could say anything more and she could do nothing but weep. Kurt moved to sit next to his wife and comfort her as Angel's father got up to see the curious man. It was James who spoke next.

"This man is here to help us."

Blade McKenzie looked the young man up and down, inspecting him as a general might a new private.

Mirror Master
He saw Kira come into view, definitely heading to enter the warehouse. With a flick of his wrist, he sent his daughter away to the room that she wold choose to sleep in. When she had left, he turned to one of his thugs.
"You can beat him up if you wish," he said. The big man smiled, and when Kira entered the room, the man lashed out, his fist hitting his stomach. The assassin was surprised, but not totally unprepared. H didn't resist, and let the punch damage him. But the thug wasn't done. He brought up the assassins face, and punched him square on the nose. Not breaking it, but making it bleed for sure. The Mirror Master grinned, and turned back to his thug.
"You may stop whoever you are." he commanded.
"My name is Justin. Justin Bright." he told him, but when he saw the anger from his boss' face, he returned to his original standing point.

Evan
Evan wasn't too surprised when he was beaten,so he let it do damage instead of fighting back. When they were finished, the thug backed off, and Evan heard his name faintly. He quickly thought about the name, took the thugs face, and with the combination, thought of the death. He knew he would only get punished more severely, but he needed people to know that they couldn't mess with him. Within 40 seconds, Justin Bright had collapsed, and it was declared he was dead. The Mirror Master simply glared at him, but did nothing.
"And Whois this woman that extracted information from you?" the Master asked simply. Evan thought, trying to figure out the proper words, and then slowly began to explain.

Danny
Danny would have grinned at the question if it wasn't such a serious matter. He simply left his hero form, showing himself to those assembled. However, his face was glowing too brightly for them to look at.
"We'll, I can change ow much light I radiate, for starters. And also, I can shoot laser beams fom my eyes, and can run up to the speed of light. But this all takes up energy I absorb from light. The more energy, the more I can do. But for ow, I am just here to help recover Angel McKenzie's child," he told the assembled group. He hoped the would accept; he desperately wanted to help.

Georgia:

"I'm supposed to be a hero and I can't even find one goddamn baby. How much more useless can I get?"

Her reverie was broken by the sound of Macy's fangirl screaming. Frustrated, she stomped into the living room and angrily planted herself in front of Macy.

"Just what the hell is so goddamn great that you can't keep quiet?"

Macy pointed to the booklet in her hands.

"There are a lot of cute photos of A-Mac while she was pregnant in here. It says that she did most of the work on this album while she was pregnant and only finished it recently due to complications and personal issues. A few of these songs weren't even recorded recently, but taken from her demo. Did you know that she's written all but three of the non-cover songs she's ever recorded?"

"No, I didn't and I don't see how any of this is important."

"That's why you couldn't do anything to help. You looked in all the wrong places! If you knew anything about A-Mac, maybe it would help you in your investigation."

Carson:

Carson had to readjust to the slightly heavier materials of her ninja clothes at first, but otherwise blended seamlessly into the night sky and made excellent time towards the warehouse district where Mirror Master and Kira would be waiting.

"The handoff isn't acutally until tomorrow evening, so once I get there, I'll slip into the building's ki network to keep an eye on the place while I sleep out of sight and wake up sometime tomorrow morning to begin my mission."

She continued bounding across the rooftops, projecting ki from her feet to make her leaps stronger and longer, until she had the warehouse in question within sight. She stopped on the roof of the building right beside Mirror Master's warehouse and hid out of sight while she assumed the lotus position and started the process of finding and slipping into the other building's ki network.

"This is why I love being a ninja."

Angel:

"Well, your powers will be useless. One of the conditions is that the person we send must be unarmed. That means you'd have to show up in your normal form. The other is that they can't be connected to us, which you've got already."

Just as Mr. McKenzie was about to finish speaking, Angel got up and approached the man.

"Mister, we want Wunder back more than anything, but I want you to tell me honestly, what do you gain from this? Are you going to turn on us and hold her ransom yourself? Do you want a record deal or an interview or some other sick publicity stunt? Because if so, please get out of my house or be thrown out."

Mirror Master
The moment his thug spoke his name, he knew that he wouldn't live long. When he died, Mirror Master wasn't too surprised, but he still glared at Kira. But when he finally asked his question, and he got his answer, he was satisfied, but not happy. That was just what he needed, a ninja with superpowers. It would slow him down considerably. He turned to his remaining thugs.
"I want you to have a hawk eye when guarding tonight. Not one leaf goes by without suspicion do you understand!" he barked. They nodded, and he dismissed them. He then turned to Kira, and handed him something to press against his nose. He couldn't care less if he died, but he wanted him alive for a bit longer, and he needed his assassin in good shape.

Evan
When his nose stopped bleeding, he rose, not changing his clothes or anything. He left without a word to his employer. Whenever he needed some time to think, he always went someplace solitary and quiet, so he decided the roof of this warehouse would have to do. When he reached a wall he was confident he could climb, he jumped p and grabbed a handhold. He put his feet on some footholds, and slowly made his way up. When he was on the roof, he sat with his legs dangling along the edge, dismissing all the creatures he saw up there, such as birds or insects.
No matter what he could do, thoughts of his old life in Japan kept coming back to him. How he trained with some of his distant relatives, and ow he met his one love, lived with her. And when he learned to control his abilities, he became an assassin, not telling his love. But eventually, Omni told her, and she left him. That had started it all. Omni was the beginning of Kira; and she would probably live to the end of Kira.

Danny
Danny was a bit upset when he was rejected, and fit as he was about to leave, he heard Angel ask for him to wait. He turned to her, and waited for her to finish her question. He was a bit appalled by her question, but answered politely nonetheless.
"No Ma'am, I am just here because I want to help. That is enough for me. I cold never ask for anything in return," he explained to her. He wasn't too sure if he should mention what he had gathered about this man and his crew, but he felt it would be better if he spoke when spoken to, just for politeness sake.

Georgia:

"This seemed like a good idea at first, but now I'd just like to get these stupid songs out of my head..."

"Come on, just one more song left..."

"Which one?"

"They saved the best for last. The next song is "Freakshow"."

"Fine, play it."

"Well, it's the unplugged version, but I think that the message is essentially the same."

"Just play the goddamn thing!"

Georgia rubbed her temples in frustration and Macy finally played the song. Macy had already memorized the lyrics of the radio version and sang along with the slower softer version on the CD.

"Do you really have to sing?"

"Come on, it's a beautiful song. Here, you sing too."

Macy handed Georgia the open booklet with the full lyrics inside and next to it was a candid picture of Angel and her husband sitting at the piano together. They were both looking at a page of sheet music and it seemed like Angel was talking to him.

"Holy Shit!"

Carson:

Carson had successfully slipped undetected into the building's ki network. She could sense everything that happened in and around the warehouse. She was only a little surprised to feel Kira so close. She thought about tapping into his ki too, but decided that it was too much of a risk. The building provided all she needed. She could tell where he was, when he moved, how he moved, and even sense the insects, rodents, and birds moving around in and on the building. Though she hadn't tapped into his own ki system, she could vaguely sense that he was unhappy at the moment.

"When is he ever not unhappy though?"

This made her remember how things had turned out this way and look back on her life in Tokyo with her Onee-sama, Anniqua. She'd quite enjoyed her time in the city, even if she spent much of it running from fangirls who obsessed over her looks and seeming perfection at everything. She remembered the first time she'd encountered Kira. He'd only recently become an assassin and was still sloppy enough that she and Anniqua had been able to track him down with only a little effort on their part. Their plan had been to distract him and siphon the important information from him so that they could take out his employer, figuring he'd stop killing if he wasn't getting paid.

Carson had sensed in him that he hadn't become a monster yet and hoped that just maybe, if she could find someway to his heart, she could stop him before he was too far gone to save. His girlfriend had had the exact opposite reaction that she'd hoped and everything went wrong at that point. She still regretted how things turned out, but after seeing what he became afterwards, her hatred for him was probably equal to the hatred he bore towards her.

Their cycle of hate would probably continue forever. They were mostly evenly matched at combat in almost every way. She could never bring herself to kill even a monster like Kira and he couldn't kill her without knowing her name and her face. Just the thought of their battles to come made her instantly feel tired.

Angel:

"Alright, you can help. But you need to come with me and Kurt to my office. Daddy, please call Theo and tell him to get here on the double."

Kurt got off the couch and stared daggers at the man in front of him, even though it was probably counterproductive. He gestured for the glowing man to follow he and his wife down the hallway, keeping a protective arm around her shoulders all the while. Mr. McKenzie soon had his daughter's lawyer on the phone and received several assurances of his quick arrival. Angel then called from down the hallway.

"James, why don't you bring in some tea for us?"

James, having nothing better to do, got out the tea things and arranged them neatly on the tray. Once the tea itself was finished brewing, he placed the pot carefully in the center and took it back into the office where Angel handled most of her non-musical career tasks, especially consulting her lawyer. She and Kurt however, would not yet explain to their new ally that it was the lawyer who was coming.

Mirror Master
When Kira left, the Mirror Master let out a sigh. He was tired, but he just wanted to have his darter check the entire building. He still had not named is daughter, so he decided to go and do that first.
He walked into his daughters room, and saw her sitting on her bed, thinking. She had chosen a room that had oly a lamp as a lot source, but the lap had little light. It was obvious she liked the dark. All her sheets, curtains, clothes, they were all black, much like the clothes of the assassin. When she noticed him in the room, she slipped off her bed, standing before him.
"Hello father," she said. Mirror Master only gave her a nod, and then walked around the room, observing every detail. He finally spoke to his daughter after a bit of inspecting.
"I have decided that you should be given a name. Any ideas?" he asked her. He immediately rightened, as if he had given her a marvelous gift.
"Oh, thank you father! I was just thinking about that! I would love the name Stephanie! Can that be my name?" she asked him. He nodded, and she squealed, apparently deeply pleased. She gave him a long, affectionate hug, and then Mirror Master made his request.
"Okay then Stephanie, could you please do me a favor? Could you comb the entire are surrounding the warehouse, just to make sure we are safe? I would ask my thugs, but eith your abilities, it will make it all the easier." he explained to her. Se slowly nodded, as if she would much rather do something else, and left her room, no doubt having went into her "villain" form and had begun searching the area.

Evan
Evan wasn't interrupted except once, when he saw the young woman that had been in the presence of his employer before she was dismissed. She was in her form of power. He looked a lot like Daniel in his form, except for all lack, and quite a bit shorter, about the same size as she was in her human form. And to to mention that her form looked more like a costume covering than a form, but Evan cold tell it part of her, not just cloth. She was searching the roof, and had stumbled upon him. She was about to leave, thinking he had to noticed her, but he spoke before she did.
"I know you are there," he said simply. She gave a jolt, he could tell, but she calmed down.
"Sorry I disturbed you, I was just doing what my father had told me," she explained to him. He nodded, not once turning to face her. His eyes were closed, and he was in meditation form, but he was still aware of his surroundings. Despite he had wanted to be alone originally, he felt compelled to introduce himself to this young woman, so he invited her to sit with him, merely by saying "Sit with me." She was a bit surprised at first, but she left her form and sat down next to him. When Evan didn't speak, she began conversation.
"Hi, I'm Stephanie, daughter of the Mirror Master," she introduced herself. Evan only nodded, letting her talk for the most part. And she did. She told him a lot. Too much, in his consideration, but he listened, learned, noted, documented important details. He learned all about her abilities, how she was feeling. He heard a lot from her. And she didn't seem to think that he might use it to manipulate her. She trusted him. He could use that to his advantage.

Danny
When they accepted his help, he gave a sigh of relief, glad he would be doing something. He heard Angel ask a person she assumed to be her father to call a person named Theo, as well as asking one of her bodyguards to get tea. When the tea was brought, he said politely a thank you, and poured himself some tea into a cup. He didn't take any cream or sugar. Where he grew p, they put honey in tea, and he didn't accept anything else. Neither he or Angel or her husband spoke a word, so he eventually broke the silence.
"If you want, I could tell you what I figured out about the person who has your child. I had an encounter with them when I tried to stop their escape, and I learned quite a bit about them," he told them. He didn't want to sit in silence when he could be doing something helpful to these people as well as their child. Much as he hated to admit it, he was usually an impulsive person, especially when it came to being a hero.

Georgia:

"Georgia, what is it?"

"I know that guy!"

"Everybody knows him. He's Angel McKenzie's husband."

"No, I mean a really know him!"

"How?"

"Before I had to drop out and go to college online, that guy went to my school. His name is Kurt Wagner. He was in my family dynamics class. I remember because we did a survey one day and he told the whole class that he'd just proposed to his girlfriend. There was a lot of gossip and nasty rumours about it."

"Oh my God! You went to school with Kurt Wagner? And you indirectly knew the Angel McKenzie!? Oh my God, Oh my God! You are the coolest friend ever!"

Macy happily hugged Georgia only to be pushed off.

"Macy, I've got to borrow your computer."

"Why?"

"I'm about to reunite with an old classmate."

Carson:

She could sense the other person who was sitting next to Kira though they themselves raised no suspicion. She was starting to feel the events of the day weigh down on her as she edged closer and closer to sleep. She reinforced her place in the ki network carefully before leaning against the structure she was hiding behind and falling asleep.

Angel:

Angel poured herself, Kurt, and Theo a cup of tea, preparing each cup just the right way. Theo took it plain, Kurt took it with lots of sugar, and she took it with a little milk and just a bit of sugar.

"Any information you can give us will be helpful."

There was a knock on the door and Angel was shocked and relieved to see Theo had gotten there so quickly.

"I'm here, Angel. I hope you don't mind, I had to bring the kids. Nick is still dealing with that kidney stone."

"Not at all. Kalie and Andy are always welcome. But how did you get here so fast?"

"I have my ways."

Theo then shook hands with both of the men, hugged Angel, and took the large chair behind the desk.

"So honey, what do you need me to do for you?"

"We need you to draw up a confidentiality agreement."

"Why on Earth do you need that?"

Theo eyed the strange man suspiciously.

"This man has agreed to help us get Wunder back. But before we can discuss everything in detail, we need you to make out a confidentiality agreement for him to sign."

"No problem, sweetie. That's what I'm here for. And sir, I'm sorry to have forgotten my manners, but my name is Theo Nicholson of the Davis & Sons Law Firm. I am Mrs. Wagner's attorney."

Mirror Master
When Stephanie left, Mirror Master gave a sigh. He was tired, frankly, so he did one final thing. He went up to the nearest thug, gave him some orders, and then went outside. He waited a bit before shouting. He did, after all, want Stephanie to do an excellent job searching everywhere. When he was done waiting, he shouted.
"Stephanie! Come down here now!" he ordered here. He heard shuffling. On the roof, and then he saw her form appear from a shadow. She stood up straight to him, like a soldier to their general.
"You can go to bed now, Steph." he told her quietly. Se sighed, and walked away to her room. When Mirror Master went back inside, the doors were shut, locked, and guarded. He walked off to his own room, knowing what awaited tomorrow.

Evan
When Stephanie left, Evan was not sure if he was upset, disappointed, or relieved. Parts of him felt all those. That was probably the most social he had been in years, besides his talks with Daniel. As despite the fact he swore against it, he kind of liked the girl. He sighed, and finished his meditation, standing up. He stretched his limbs, and just for fun, he took a rock and threw across the roof. It's collision wasn't at first with the metal roof, but with something else. Probably some cloth. Evan didn't hear a clang afterwards, but he didn't care to inspect the rock. He just left it there. He climbed down from the roof, and walked to his car.

Danny
Danny saw Angel pour three cups of tea, and then she spoke.
"Any information you can give us will be helpful." she replied. He nodded, to waning to say anything unless asked. However, there was a knock on the door, and a man Daniel had never seen before walked in. He said some things to Angel, she said something's to him. When the man offered Daniel a handshake, he took the hand and shook it firmly, but he cold tell the man was suspicious of him. And then he heard them say something about a confidentiality agreement. He didn't want to interrupt, say he waited for them to finish speaking. And when the man turned to him and introduced himself, Daniel was relieved that he could match a name with a face.
"Hello Theo. I don't mean to be rude, but I cannot give you my name in return, but just call me the Golden Light. That is my name when I am helping people," he told Theo. When no one continued speaking, Daniel started talking. "I believe I heard something about a confidentiality agreement?" he inquired.

Georgia:

After scouring facebook for almost an hour, Georgia managed to find Kurt's profile.

"I can't believe I didn't friend him already. We've got 15 mutual friends on here."

"You are soo lucky! Why did I have to be an academic achiever? Why can't I have been more like you?"

"For your information, I dropped out for financial and personal reasons. Not because of my grades."

Georgia sent the request and awaited the response.

"You do realize you probably won't get a reply until this whole Wunder thing is over, right?"

Georgia mentally facepalmed.

Carson:

Carson felt the small rock graze her leg but it was not enough impact to wake her. She drifted back to a deeper stage of sleep as she continued to wait for tomorrow to arrive.

Angel:

Angel was about to reply to the man but it was Theo who spoke.

"I'm sorry Mr. Light, but yes. In addition to being my client, Mrs. Wagner is also a dear friend of mine. As such, I happen to understand that there are certain aspects of this issue which cannot be released to the public under any circumstances. Even though I'm certain your intentions are perfectly pure, in order to ensure the protection of not only Wunder and the Wagners, but several others that you will probably never even meet, your signature on a confidentiality agreement is necessary for us to proceed. Given the situation, I will allow you to sign with your alias."

Theo pulled a folder out of his briefcase and showed it to Angel and Kurt. They both read over it carefully before they agreed.

"This is good, Theo. Count on you to always be prepared."

"Well, I have been your lawyer for almost four years. I've learned to keep a couple of standard confidentiality agreements with me at all times. Now, Mr. Light-"

Theo turned back to the Golden Light and set the paper in front of him.

"If you just read this and sign where indicated, we can continue."

Angel's cell phone then vibrated and she checked the new message. After reading it, she blushed and glared at her lawyer. Kurt looked at the message as well and his response was similar, though he did not hesitate to voice his offense.

"Can't you ever be serious?"

"What do you think I'm doing?"

"Sending a perverted joke to my wife's phone is not being serious."

"Would you have preferred that I said it out loud?"

Angel rolled her eyes at her husband.

"Can you both just act your ages so we can get this done and save Wunder?"

Both men fell silent and Theo turned the chair back towards the Golden Light.

Evan
By the time he had reached his hotel room, it was dark. Entered his hotel room, put his car keys on the table, and put his room key back in his pocket. But what he didn't expect was that when he opened his closet door, a man lashed put with his fist, catching him in the stomach. His abdomen still hurt from his previous beating, so he was easily beaten. A sackcloth was placed over is head, and he was lifted from the ground by more men. He didn't struggle; he knew that he wouldn't be able to escape. Unfortunately, Evan had taken the room on the first floor, right by the fire escape, so he would be smuggled out without being seen. He felt himself being thrown into a van, and then he was hit on the head, and he knew no more.

Danny
Danny heard as he was explained to, and nodded a couple times. He didn't speak afterwards, and when he was handed the confidentiality agreement, he quickly read through it and grabbed a pen on the desk, signing it. He was careful to right The Golden Light, even tough he wanted to use his real name. He couldn't blow is identity. Once he had signed, he waited for their conversation/argument to end before handing it to them. He saw Ael end it, and when the men fell silent, he passed the paper over to them. He sighed, leaning back a bit in his chair while don so. Hopefully, they could talk about more important things. His energy was running low, and hiding his face was getting a bit harder without the sun's added light to fuel him. Tll, the lamps in the room were helping him.

Angel:

Theo took the paper from The Golden Light and made sure everything was in order.

"Well, Mr. Light, everything looks to be in order here now. Is that all you need, Angel?"

"That'll do for now Theo, but you and the kids are welcome to stay as long as you like."

"Oh! The kids! I hope they aren't making trouble for your father..."

Theo then left the room in search of his juvenile companions. Angel then took back her chair behind the desk and got straight to the point.

"Now, Mr. Light, we can get down to business. Please tell us the information you have on the man who took our baby."

Evan
When he awoke, Evan was tied to a chair, surrounded by utter darkness. He looked around, but couldn't see anyone. He also tried to break his bonds, but was unsuccessful. Ater many minutes of trying to escape, he gave up. Nd that was when. The lights came on. I was only a single light, on stable near him. There sat one man, his face covered. He lit a match, and brought to his face to light a cigar. For that brief moment, Evan saw the mans face, and he instantly recognized him.
"You brought me here. Really, Tumi? Ater all that work I did, you kidnap me? Why" he asked, concealing his anger. Tumi appeared to smile, and the hunched closer to Evan, close enough so his face was shown in the light.
"We'll, I did it for one reason only Kira. I have a job for you," he answered simply.

Danny
Danny finally sighed when she got to business.
"I shall with pleasure, ma'am." He took a moment to collect his thoughts, and then spoke.
"This man is a super, like me. He has abilities that involve creating things. I am not sure what, but I know that he can create certain things. He has another super with him, me he created when he met me. She is a young woman, and one of her powers is to make people sleep. That may not be the limit, but she definitely has that ability. He also has a bunch of thugs hired for him. I didn't get a good look at any face. That is all I have to say." He waited for a reaction, and looked out the window for a quick moment. He saw that it was almost morning, and he knew he had to leave soon.
