unions need to come into the 20th century and realize the pension system is a ponzi scheme and is no longer affordable or sustainable. unless those workers want to take a 50% pay cut to subsidize the pension

Walmart should be criminalized, making - not requesting or asking - employees to work on Thanksgiving. For fucking what? So they can sell more shit for Christmas?

I had a manager at a family-themed restaurant once tell us kitchen help that we NEEDED to come in on T'giving night to prepare pizza dough for that Friday. After I stopped laughing, I told her that, if the store's closed, I will not work.
I did work one Black Friday at Best Buy, aka The Stop Store according to Better Half. I was there at 4 AM, we opened at 5 for specials. Assinine people there to get "Only while supplies last" deals on electronics that if they came back Saturday afternoon would be back.

Actually its State U. moving their endowments around that does it. And state pension funds. Government is desperate for cash, and they park their billions where they get the largest dividends. So workers take it up the ass.

2 months ago, the CEO of Hostess gave himself a 300% raise...Imagine that...a company that is having such a problem surviving tossing out a 300% raise. Oh, it didn't stop there. Management also got a 30% raise. Yet, they wanted to drop the wage on the workers and make them pay more for their health benefits.
See, I have no problem if a company really is having problems that both sides cooperate and give something back. But why should one side take it up the ass while the other gets bonuses?
Everyone is better off. One less Republican run company. Love how they are such good "job creators".
Facts suck don't they?

Because the other side lost their jobs......because it didn't get their way. I am willing to bet that the people that lost their jobs were actually shocked that their Union representives held firm and shut down the company.

What jobs? Seriously...a $34K job cut to 25K? Health benefits costing $35/week to one costing $119/week? This is what the company offered. I would have struck too. As I said, this company was doomed to failed because of management. The union is just an excuse. |
