Blowing out a breath, she frowned slightly, “I wish I knew more...I've only ever healed wounds and grown flowers and herbs in the garden. This is a learning experience for me as well....I've never channeled so much energy into someone as I did earlier today...”

Some time during the night, while Treyis was sleeping deeply, a clattering at the window awoke Tamara, as if something were there, trying to get in.

Tamara blinked slowly awake and lay still. Again the sound filtered through the room and made her tense anxiously. Beside her, Treyis slept soundly, one arm heavy on her hip as she lay on her side, facing the window across the room.

With her pulse pounding with nerves, she drew in a breath and grasped the sheet, pulling it over her naked flesh and slowly sat up. Her hair tumbled over her shoulders and back, stuck partially under her bottom until she pulled it free.

Glancing around the room, she searched for something to cast a protection spell on them both, but there was nothing...not even salt. With a groan, she turned to Treyis and gently nudged him, pressing a finger to her lips as his eyes opened. "Something is outside the window." She whispered ever so softly.

"Stay put, and do not use any magic." Treyis warned as he slipped out of bed, circling the bed in his nakedness to approach the window causiously, snatching up his swords from where he'd left them at the foot of the bed. There was indeed something hovering just outside the window, it was like a mass of dark, glossy black hair, whisping on the night air like silk tendrals, hiding something lumineciently pale behind that inky black curtain.

"Tamara..." He whispered back. "Cover your ears, darlin." There was a fearful quality to his voice before he addressed the thing outside the window. "You will not have her, Banshee, go back to The Mistress with a message, my heart belongs to another now!" Treyis launched himself at the window, bursting through and onto the strange ethereal creature just as those inky locks of floating black hair whipped up away from a horrid pale, sharp toothed visage. The thing shrieked with an unearthly voice that felt like it ripped at Tamara's soul.

Tamara cried out, covering her ears and shuddering with fright as Treyis burst through the glass and attacked the banshee. She huddled into the bed, watching in horror as he swung his sword at the vile hag.

Her mind called out to Hexen as she fumbled and stumbled off the bed, grasping Treyis's shirt and shoving it over her head. Dread filled her entire being as she watched him lash out. She wanted to reach out to him and held in some way, but as the creature reared back and screeched again, Tamara felt her knees give out, groping for the blade that Treyis had given her.

No magic...she could use no magic. The creature was stronger than she could have imagined, hissing and screeching over and over as the sword cut at it's flesh and yet those inky tendrils tried to enter the room, seeking Tamara.

The undead horror was unerringly focused on getting to Tamara while Treyis was focused on hacking the foul creature to ribbons. Where his blades should be splitting the Banshee in twain, they just seemed to pass right through her, tearing away with only whisps of vapor. It shrieked and bared its wicked visage at Tamara though, reaching out with tendral like hair to lash and knot around her ankle, reeling her in. "No!!!" Treyis growled savagely, whipping a blade to sevor the length of hair that had caught hold of Tamara. He worked at the Banshee's slowly diminishing form, whipping himself into a frenzy, each pass of his blade cutting away small whisps of the creatures essence. "You will not have her!" He declared.

Tamara struggled against the banshee's grip, her mind whirling, trying to figure out what she could do for Treyis and herself. No matter how hard he tried to injure the entity, nothing was working and Tamara was pulled across the wooden floor as she tugged at her ankle desperately.

Terror struck deeply, but in those moments of struggle and panic, clarity seemed to hit her. An old story her father had once wove. He was fond of his nightly tales by the fire, some terrifying and some awe inspiring. Her mother chided him for trying to scare Tamara, but she'd always been smitten by all his tales.

“Treyis! You cannot kill which is dead! She feeds on sorrow and loss. Fill your mind with goodness...cherished memories! With love!”

Tamara's desperate plea to fill himself with love cut through the fervant madness of Trey's berserk rage and centered him in a way he had long forgotten. He focused his mind on all the pleasures and joys Tamara had given him in their short time together. Her shrieks were ear shattering, and actually caused Treyis' ears to bleed, but he grit his teeth, having felt far worse pains in his long, cold existance. He growled and twisted and rolled with her as she lashed about, trying to free herself from his grasp. "No! You cannot have her!" He shouted forcing all of his love for Tamara upon the horrid, languishing thing. There was terror in its eyes as it let Tamara loose, a pleading look as it began to shrivel up, turning black like burning paper.

As the plan began to work, the creature let go of Tamara, trying to save itself. She sagged back, still holding her ears and breathing heavily, worried for Treyis as the screams went on and on and finally, there was silence.

Stumbling to her feet, she dashed out of the room, hugging the shit close as she ran barefoot through the Inn and down the back stairway, bursting through the door. Treyis sat hunched over, breathing heavily and slicked with sweat, the remains of the banshee but dust around him.

"Treyis!" She hurried to him, sinking to his level as she hugged him tightly, gasping at the streaks of blood that covered his neck and ears. Cupping his face, she gazed into his face, searching his eyes. "Are you alright? Let me heal you. Come...lets move."
