editing thread titles

is it possible to change the title of a thread once it has been posted to?

Yes. You can try PMing the moderator of the forum the thread is located in with a polite request and link to the thread you'd like edited. Mods are often overworked, unappreciated volunteers, but happy to help with something like this when the person asking is nice and they have the time to make the change.

As Erica says, editing thread titles requires Moderator access; Users cannot edit their own threads (because it is the same access level that would allow users to delete a thread, which Lit doesn't allow either)

Moderators are listed in the far right column of the main index. If no moderator is listed, PM "Laurel" or "Manu" -- the site owners/administrators. If you need to go that route, best have a very good reason because both are besieged by requests for special favors.
