"Oh I just went home but I'm here I'm sorry about early I don't know why I ran please forgive me." She said looking in his eyes as she stroked his chest. "I missed you and I'm sorry so what is this party for again?"

"It's a charity and business party," I said taking a step to the side to present the various faces. There were bank managers, business men, and CEOs, from various large companies. The truth of the matter they were going to be pledging their alligances and money to various causes that I have underway, but did not say that to Crystal. After that we walked across the carpet towards near the center of the room where one of the waiters presented us with tall glasses of fine champagne. Taking a glass I offered her a personal toast to becoming my employee. "We ran the background check. Seems to be a naughty girll after you got out of school," giving a wink, "Nothing serious though. I've seen worse, but don't let that kind of stuff work its way back up to here."

She kinda didn't believe it was a charity and business party because she recognised faces from her police work. She knew most of the guys here weren't involved in charity. She stood by his side never leaving his side. She took a glass of champagne. "Oh yeah I was a bit naughty but I'm not like that anymore. Here's to me coming to work for you." She smiled at him.

There were so many faces, people I knew and some were rivals but here we were trying to make an alliance of sort. After exchanging pleasentries with one another I pointed out some of them to Crystal so that she would become familiar with them, "That there is Lance B. Cornet, a media mogel," he was in his fifties but had a wife that was about half his age and body dimentions with long silver hair and thin wire glasses and slightly sagging cheeks but a real nice man and very wealthy. not too far away was someone that was drastically different, "A. J. Brownwall, a business owner, though I didn't specify what type of business he ran. It was a porn business and to keep competitiion from setting up in his neighborhood he broke their legs and destroyed their stores. He had a real trouble with people coming on his turf, but hopefully this little party would sooth his feathers.

Crystal listened to him she looked at making sure to look interested in what he was saying. She knew this all before he said it she had a full book at the station with all their names, jobs and personal lives. She brushed her hand against his leg by accident. She looked in his eyes and smiled she whispered. "You know your a great teacher."

"Am I?" smiling as she touched my leg. It did not seem to be a place for any sort of hanky panky, but maybe it was just an accident. Leaving our spot and moving towards the back walls to get out of the congestion we were able to speak in relative privacy. I awnted to know what had happened that would have caused her leave in such a hurry. Was it because of me? I did not know but needed to know as soon as possible. If we were going to work together I needed to know of anything before it became a serious problem and liability between us.

"You know I didn't mean to touch your leg back there it was an accident." She blushed looking at him. "You know I'm so sorry about earlier walking out you I don't know why I did it I don't know what came over me." She looked at him. "Forgive please we are okay aren't we ?" She was trying to forget the real reason she walked out.

She was jittery about something and I wanted to ask her about this, but we were interupted by the arrival of a Mister Gala, a CEO of a shipping business. In truth he was the man that funneled a great amount of our goods throughout the country. He was an impressive looking man for someone in his forties with a chiseled body and salt and pepper hairs with gray eyes and a firm jaw. At his side was his lovely forty year old bride. Introducing Crystal as my secretary and shaking hands the four of us chatted about how the party was progressing.

"Thanks to you," Mister Gala laughed, "Our business is up ten percent and we are now in four new cities. We are expanding and that is always good for a company!"

One of my associates was going around the room as a waiter, holding out a platter of orderves. He was gauges and listening in on our guests to find any potential trouble makers and also to look for any possible informants or spy gear. He ws good at it going around and looking at all the fine ladies in their dresses whom would be the most likely, in his eyes.

"Please will you excuse me I just need to go to the powder room." She smiled then walked off she could feel a vibration in her ear it was base calling her. She went into the toilets making sure no one was in there. She answered the gadget. There was a voice at the other line it was her boss. "Hello how's it going does he trust yet."

She fidgetted she hated what she was doing she wished she was Crystal and not herself her job was becoming a he to her. "Yes its going well I will report back later." She said she turned the device off so she wouldn't be disturb the whole of the night. She looked at herself in the mirror she touched her make up and went back to the party. She sat in the corner for a minute thinking about what he would think if he knew who she really was and that she was a cop. She sipped on a glass of wine trying to calm herself down.

Without Crystal at my side I felt a little naked as most of my other friends having their wives or their pretyy women accompanying them but I tried my best in keeping up a wide smile and a firm handshake. Going from man to man and saying a few words I wanted to win them over, but it would be alot easier having Crystal at my side as having a lovely woman at my side would give a better image for myself thus I tried to keep into the crowd and move constantly to keep out of line of sight until she reappeared.

In the mean time, my associate was doing the same, looking for bugs. In a place this big it was difficult but he was having a tingling feeling that there was a bug somewhere and he was on the trail like a blood hound. I don't know how he does it exactly but it has worked before and I did not want any law enfrocement easedropping on my personal conversations, like any honest business man would.

She was feeling so horrible for what her job needed her to do she was suppose to dig dirty on him then arrest him she wasn't going to though. He wasn't all bad she wasn't going to turn him in to the cops. She was thinking of quitting anyway so this would be a perfect reason but for quitting she would have to tell him who she was and why she was really here. She was nervous about it she was going to give it a few days. She walked over to him. "Hey have you missed me." She grinned at him. She stood comfortably and proudly by his side.

"Of course" I smiled and gave a simple kiss on the cheek. In truth I wanted her right now to finish what she started back at my place. I forgot about the wire found in my bed, it would wait for another time and I wanted this party to be a success for it meant more lucrative money and more prospects for me and for Crystal as well as we would be able to go to the places thought to be out of our reach, such as Europe and Australia. I remembered now that when we graduated that we dreamed of going to France, but knew that it would be far fetched. Just the tickets alone were in the thousands and not counting everything else, but now that would be possible with all of this.

Sliding my right hand around her waist and keeping her close we continued out walk around the room and continued to introduce her with the rest of my business partners. It was very lively and civil with plenty of laughter and music and drink.

"Good answer." She laughed stroking his arm. "I missed you." She looked at him her heart was saying telling him now he won't care but her mind was saying no not yet wait till your alone and once you know what to say to him. She was so confused. She didn't know what to do she had no one to talk to about it. She would just have to try and forget it for now she was wanting to help with his business not cause a show. She felt safe with his hand around her waist. She looked at him and smiled why couldn't life just be simple she wanted to be with him as herself. She kissed his cheek. "Your looking so stressed babes are you okay." She whispered.

"Just all of the business and the greetings, you know. All of these handshakes are starting to make my wrist sore," putting my glass in theother hand and flexing my right hand and feeling the strainin the joints. Some of these men have vice like grips and they wanted to torement me some by squeezing my fingers as hard as they could whilst keeping a straight face. They were sadists, but I kept up a smile. In a cuple of hours this would be over ith and they would go away and Crystal could show me some of her uniforms that she had stashed away some where. The more I thought about it the more I had to keep fighting my rod from sliding down my pants and scaring the people around me.

"Oh poor baby why don't I give you a massage after make you feel better." She looked at him she was worrying about him and the reaction he would have to her having an actual police officer outfit she was going to show him it later but she wasn't sure if she was going to lie about how she got it or tell him the truth. She rubbed her eyes it had been a very long day and it was starting to get to her. She was trying to keep looking interested in what was been said but mostly she was in her own world.

As the party went on and we met with more and more people I decided that I needed to get away from all of the faces and just have some time with Crystal and myself. Excusing ourselves we went up to the second floor to one of the private rooms and shut the door and locked it. I didn't want to have sex, though it was on my mind looking at her, and she did leaving me hanging during that handjb, but thereseemed to be more pressing matters on her mind that needed to come out now before anything else, "Crystal, what is it that's bothering you? I can tell that something is by the way you smile. Now tell me what it is," insisting but not demanding it from her.

"I can't tell you. You won't like it and I don't want you to ever not like but l"m not who you think I am. I hate myself for what I really am. I do really like you but I'm scared once you find out you will hate me and turn me away." She fidgeted looking at him. She sat down she didn't know what to do. She thought if he keeps insisting I will tell him and deal with the consequences. She stroked her leg wondering if he saw her birth mark. She was so confused on what to do. She looked at him all she really wanted to do was tell him everything as she cried into his arms she didn't know if he would care for her after she told him the truth.

When she said that she could not tell me it only drove me further to know what the answer was and the way she couldn't stay still, tugging on her dress, it did not make any sense until she threw herself at me, wanting to be held and I could not refuse her as she cried into my chest. Rubbing her back with both hands and whispering into her ear that it would be alright I did not know what to say, but I knew there had to be an answer to all of this and giving Crystal time to recover her wits I pulled back slightly to look into her eyes, "Tell me, right now." saying it in a low tone, "I at least should know above everyone else."

"I'm not who you think I am I'm not your old friend Crystal I'm Detective Scarlet Jones. I did actually go to school with you I was the girl who did all of your homework. When I realised it was you I couldn't go through with it cause I liked you well I do like you. Even though I know all the bad you've done I see more good then bad so I could never turn you in. I know you might hate me now but I still really like you." She carried on crying on his chest she was scared about what he'd do and say. "Did you see the birth on my thigh Crystal doesn't have that does she." She pulled her dress up a little to show him her birthmark.

I became horribly confused. If she wasn't Crystal, then where was the real Crystal, and a detective? She was a police officer! and that is where the wire snapped inside my mind, "You were recording me? Why?" Pushing aside what we had done and the birthmark, "Why were you recording me? What have I done? Are you still wearing a wire now? Why does the police departnment need to know about me? They don't have enough sex tapes? They were recording us as we were doing it, weren't they?" I was both embarassed and enraged, pulling away from the woman, now seemingly a complete stranger to me and going to the door and throwing the lock. I couldn't take it. I needed to get air and deal with this....person later.

She thought about the real Crystal who was a mom of 6 kids all different dads. She looked at him. "You wasn't recorded much I promise it was just my job to get closer to you at first then get the real work done but I can't ." She felt awful. "Well your illegal work got the attention of the police department. I'm wearing a wire but its been off. This is why I ran off I hated lying to you. I didn't film the sex the only wire I had on today didn't get image and I haven't had it on much today so it didn't get the sex." When he pulled away she landed on the floor she brushed herself off. "I'm so sorry I know you won't forgive but I'm sorry I'll wait here for an hour if you don't come back I'll take it as you don't want to talk to me and I will get out of your life and leave you alone ."

It didn't seem right at all. Not saying another word I left the room and went back to the party, trying to put back on a decent smile whilst summoning one of my men. She was not Crystal but a police officer, spying on me, she lied and recorded me and she had...grrr. she had done so much to betray my trust, I couldn't stand just seeing her face. When Guy, one of my men came by, I said, "They'res a woman in the top room. Throw her out and make sure she doesn't come back." Whacking people, placing concrete shoes and throwing them into the river was not something we did, she had to leave and I would deal with her later on. I didn't want this to be a public spectacle in front of all of my colleuges thus Guy would have to leave out th back door. She said they were not filming us doing it, I didn't believe her in the slightest.

She sat in the office. She decided it would be better to go her worse nightmare was coming true he hated her. She decided to leave a note that read : Dear Charles, I understand I betrayed you but I've not given anything to the cops. I knew from day one they were wrong you didn't deserve to go to prison that's when I stopped recording. I promise that I didn't tape us having sex I hated myself for lying to you but I was scared to tell you so that's I ran off. I was always planning to tell you. I'm so sorry. I'm leaving my job as a cop I never really wanted to be a cop but I got pressured into it I hate my job. I hate what I've done. I know you probably won't ever want to here from me again so good bye and good luck.

She left the note on his desk she also left all of her devices to prove to him she wasn't going to give anything to the cop she hoped he would listen to some of the stuff to prove she never recorded them having sex. She left out of the back door and started to walk. She decided to go back to the flat she was using for being Crystal she had this place for a few more weeks so she was going to stay here. If he wanted to talk to her he would know he could find her here she doubted he ever wanted to talk to her but she hoped he would. She curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine

Guy came back and showed the recording devices as well as the letter, but here was no time to read it. As long as she was gone. Sure, having a mole would have prompted a sort of purging but we purge very distinct ways. With her application we knew of her location, thus I sent Guy to scope out her flat, but do not approach. I wanted to see if even that bit of her was true. What was I thinking letting her get that close? I should have seen the obvious signs. They used the old, real Crystal to get to me. They looked so similar,but I should have seen the signs.

After shaking a few more hands the guests began to leave one by one with the individuals offering their blessings and their promises and the large donation bowl was filled. Retreating to the same upstairs room she was not there and allowed me to read her letter in private. I could trust anything she said, whomever she was...Scarlet and tore it to ribbons.

She was thinking of Crystal the real Crystal she had met her she didn't look like Scarlet she had let herself go. Scarlet was like the old Crystal. She was feeling shit about everything. She shut the curtains. She pulled her dress off walking into the bathroom. She wondered if he'd read her letter. She ran the bath and she got into the bath. She laid back in the bath she closed her eyes as she felt the hot water on her body. She stroked her hair as she sipped on her glass of wine. She was trying to forget what had happened but it was really hard she was regretting everything. She closed her eyes as she ran her fingers through her hair. She started to wash her body. She laid back closing her eyes she was relaxing.
